    Who We Are

All Square is a nonprofit restaurant in Minneapolis serving craft grilled cheeses with a side of social justice. Our mission is to empower people impacted by the criminal legal system to move forward with healing, community, and hope. We do this by investing in mental wellness, employment opportunities, professional development, legal services, and educational training for our justice-impacted neighbors.

In 2022, we opened The Legal Revolution (TLR), a nonprofit specializing in legal initiatives such as record clearing and accredited legal education to expand our services. TLR's Prison to Law Pipeline is the first in the nation to provide legal externships to currently incarcerated law students through our prison to law pipeline.

Guided by our values of healing first, stronger together, “your dream, your way,” and forward focus, we pursue justice through our four pillars of programming:

    • Our Restaurant and Food Truck provides sustainable employment opportunities for folks who come home from prison, while also serving delicious grilled cheese sandwiches to our community.
    • The Fellowship, which serves individuals who have returned home from prison through a focus on wellness, employment & legal support, and financial support.
    • The Pipeline creates opportunities for the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated to access legal education, the first program of its kind in the United States.
    • The Law Firm works to eradicate the collateral effects of mass incarceration through legal services and externships to incarcerated scholars. To date, we have expunged 101 criminal records.
