    POSITION: Executive Director

    REPORTS TO: Bridge Receiving Center Board

    POSITIONS UNDER DIRECT SUPERVISION: Director of Development, HR, Operations Manager, Direct Care Supervisor

    JOB LOCATION: Lake Stevens, Washington. In-person.

    SUMMARY OF WORK PERFORMED: The Executive Director serves as the visionary leader of the Bridge Receiving Center (BRC), providing strategic oversight, community representation, and operational leadership. This role requires a strong presence at the facility, deep commitment to trauma-informed care, and the skills necessary to expand and replicate BRC's model to additional locations. The Executive Director ensures that the organization is compliant with state licensing requirements and maintains the highest standards in trauma-responsive residential care.

    This position also serves as the point of contact with the Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF), overseeing contracts, licensing, incident responses, and new program developments.

    SALARY: 95k to 115k

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Program Oversight and Vision

    • Provide strategic leadership and vision for BRC’s current and future program development.
    • Plan and lead efforts to replicate and expand BRC services to additional sites.
    • Ensure the program consistently adheres to trauma-informed, trauma-responsive care.
    • Ensure full compliance with WACs and licensing requirements.
    • Oversee the monthly census and maintain comprehensive program statistics.
    • Participate in the off-hours management rotation and serve on the debriefing team.

    Management and Supervision

    • Hire, supervise, evaluate, and support the Program Manager
    • Conduct annual performance reviews and approve payroll decisions for the management team.
    • Mediate staff grievances to reach positive outcomes.
    • Support and participate in staff training, including training in trauma-informed care.
    • Actively participate in the placement call team when needed.

    Fiscal Oversight

    • Develop and oversee the annual organizational budget.
    • Support all development efforts in collaboration with the Director of Development.

    Leadership and Community Engagement

    • Participate in WACF and other regional/community associations to advocate for BRC and influence policy.
    • Work closely with the Board of Directors to align strategic planning with program operations.
    • Represent BRC in community forums, policy discussions, and collaborative initiatives.

    Compliance and Relationship Management

    • Ensure all interactions and operations maintain compliance and reflect the values and mission of BRC.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact with DCYF regarding licensing, contracts, and service development.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master’s in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, or a related social services field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in residential or foster care programs.
    • Demonstrated expertise in trauma-informed care and experience training staff in its implementation.
    • Valid Washington State driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
    • First Aid/CPR certification.
    • Background check clearance free of criminal convictions.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Physical and sensory ability to safely supervise and lead program staff.

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience managing in a culturally diverse and inclusive workplace.
    • Experience in program expansion or organizational scaling.
    • Demonstrated success in nonprofit fundraising or development.

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Strong alignment with the mission, values, and trauma-informed care philosophy of Bridge Receiving Center.
    • A management philosophy that values people, maximizes their potential, and promotes a supportive, accountable work culture.
    • Regular and consistent physical presence at the BRC facility is required to lead effectively.
