    Job Title: Data Quality Assurance & Administrator Specialist

    Reports to: Director of Systems

    Office Location: Renton, WA

    Worksite Designation: Telework

    Live in Washington, Idaho or Oregon. Must be able to travel to the office or other location as needed

    for in-person meetings including team events. Can expect approximately 90% of the time

    telecommute and 10% in-person at office or other location.

    Organizational Overview:

    The SEIU Healthcare 1199NW Multi-Employer Training Fund (Training Fund) is a non-profit, labor/management partnership including eight major healthcare employers and the largest healthcare union in Washington State. The Training Fund was formed in 2008 and is a statewide program that addresses the workforce needs of participating employers and supports the career, knowledge, and skill aspirations of SEIU Healthcare 1199NW members.The Training Fund is the sponsor of the state-registered Health Care Apprenticeship Consortium (HCAC) and of the Virtual Healthcare Institute (VHI) serving a range of regional employers, unions, union members, and student candidates.

    Position Overview:

    The role of Data Quality Assurance & Administrator Specialist will have a keen eye for detail and is responsible for observing, auditing, validating, amending, and improving data quality in relation to Training Fund's member and participant records in Salesforce and other data sources. Includes administration of data, scheduled data reports and ad-hoc report requests in support of organizational programmatic and compliance needs.

    This position is supervised by the Director of Systems and is part of the Systems Team. Fundamental to this role is the ability to analyze data issues and feedback on problems and solutions, track and prioritize requests and respond to staff requests in a professional and timely manner.

    Essential Job Functions:

    Incumbent must have the skills, abilities and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation:

    Data Assurance Quality Specialist

    • Identify data problems and deal with issues as they arise utilizing an accurate and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail
    • Continually seek to improve the quality of the member and participant data by identifying opportunities and support efforts to streamline and improve data collection and quality with existing problems and agreeing and applying corrective actions with appropriate staff/team
    • Monitoring and evaluating improvements in relation to agreed corrective actions to improve data quality
    • Provide guidance and support for colleagues across the organization on common data related issues and processes affecting data quality
    • Identify, develop and support areas in which staff training and documentation is needed to support organizational data quality standards and goals
    • Maintain intricate knowledge of Training Fund benefits and programs
    • Build and maintain effective relationships with teams across all departments for the purpose of improving accuracy of all member and participant data.

    Data Administrator

    • Support administration of the Salesforce system in collaboration with the Systems Team and Salesforce support vendor, with developing reports, dashboards, campaigns, and other routine tasks to ensure data accuracy and relevancy to changing programs and processes
    • Create and manage the Employee Verification Lists from participating employers timely, to ensure lists are current for use in benefit request administration and processing
    • Create and manage quarterly Employer Utilization reports
    • Develop and update online form builder and data collection solution, for integration to Salesforce to support program delivery

    General

    • Maintain discretion and confidentiality in relationships with all stakeholders in sensitive matters
    • Attend technical training to advance skills in data quality assurance, data analysis, Salesforce knowledge, and other related technical skills
    • Act as an organizational representative in all situations, setting a strong example of professionalism, work completion and quality, and commitment to organizational goals and ethics
    • Prioritize efforts in a highly-organized manner while maintaining flexibility in scheduling, and adhering to quality requirements, deadlines, and deliverables
    • Provide backup coverage for Systems Team teammates, if needed
    • Work closely with contractors and vendors as needed to facilitate services
    • Complete other duties and perform other tasks as assigned
    • Support labor (SEIU Healthcare 1199NW) and management perspectives in your work at the Training Fund

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with CRMs such as Salesforce to administer data
    • High competence in numeracy for effective decision-making and critical thinking; strong ability in arithmetic, problem-solving, and data analysis
    • Ability to identify data problems and deal with issues as they arise proactively and confident to interact with all levels of staff
    • Able to demonstrate advanced computer skills, e.g. proficient and efficient in a range of software applications, including an advanced level of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
    • Strong organizational skills with an accurate and methodical approach to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
    • Previous experience of working to tight deadlines and delivering to high performance standards
    • Ability to create and manage detailed documentation to support data processes and reporting
    • Highly resourceful team player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
    • Commitment to personal growth and development of racial equity and inclusion, commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion as related to access. Experience working with diverse populations and addressing unique needs
    • Ability to independently exercise a high level of judgment, especially in organizationally complex settings.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Knowledge and experience supporting education program implementation and/or administering benefits and/or workforce training programs
    • Experience in a union or labor/management environment or an understanding of unions and ability to work in labor/management settings.
    • Project Management skills
    • Experience and knowledge with current organizational software: Salesforce, FormAssembly, CongaSign, Monday.com, Alteryx, Visio and Adobe.
    • Proven record of working collaboratively to meet performance goals

    Required Items:

    • Successful completion of background check is required
    • Valid Driver’s License and access to a reliable insured vehicle
    • Needs to live in or move to the State of Washington in assigned region. Must be able to come into the Renton office a minimum of 2 days a week or more, as needed.
    • COVID-19 complete vaccination, shot documentation required or proof of meeting state or federal law, including medical disability under the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines, for not vaccinating
    • Candidates will be evaluated on their lived and learned experience, professional background, volunteer experience and direct and transferable skills.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Associate’s degree and 3+ years of experience required
    • Additional or alternate education or experience considered

    Physical Requirements:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
    • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
    • Must be able to access and navigate the Training Fund’s facilities, partner organizations, and classroom locations

    Work Environment: Telework

    This position provides services primarily in Washington State remotely and in person. Training Fund educational operations include limited program work in Oregon and Alaska. The position requires you to have a space to telework from for remote work. This position will require travel on an as-needed basis and during some non-traditional hours (early mornings, later evenings, and occasional weekends) to meet with participants and attend meetings at locations such as hospitals, schools, public places (community buildings, event venues, etc.), and partner organization sites. Note: COVID restrictions may require a higher level of remote work.
