    About BRAC and BRAC USA

BRAC is an award-winning international non-governmental development organization with the vision of a world free from all forms of exploitation and discrimination, where everyone has the opportunity to realize their potential. BRAC is a leader in developing and implementing cost-effective, evidence-based programs to assist communities in low-income countries, including in conflict-prone and post-disaster settings, as well as situations of extreme poverty. It is an organization of and for the people of the Global South, pioneering new development and social enterprise approaches to equip communities to achieve prosperity.

With headquarters in New York City, BRAC USA is the North American affiliate of BRAC. BRAC USA is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit that strengthens BRAC's impact by raising awareness about its work, mobilizing resources to support its programs, and amplifying its evidence-based poverty innovations worldwide.

BRAC USA operates in a hybrid work environment. This role is primarily remote, with periodic in-person engagement required in New York City. Candidates located in the New York metropolitan area are preferred to support periodic in-person engagement.

    About the Position

After more than half a century of impact at scale, BRAC is deeply committed to creating opportunities for people to realize their potential. BRAC is looking to raise awareness of its work and values among key stakeholders in strategic markets across North America, particularly through high‑touch in‑person and digital events. To support this effort, BRAC USA has created a new role to shape, manage, and steer its growing events portfolio.

This role shapes how BRAC USA shows up externally through events. The Manager will collaborate with BRAC USA’s Communications, Individual Philanthropy, and Partnerships teams to design meaningful, well‑organized experiences that reflect BRAC’s values. These events will engage and strengthen relationships with key partners, donors, and stakeholders, ensuring that these stakeholders experience positive, memorable interactions with BRAC.

The Manager will bring the vision and strategy for these engagements to life. They will oversee the hands-on elements of planning, logistics, vendor management, and execution. BRAC’s event work in the U.S. is relatively new, and the Manager will oversee an exciting expansion in 2026.

    Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver strategic, in-person events (c. 40%)

    • Lead up to four in-person, medium-sized events each year, including donor receptions, BRAC USA annual convenings, partner roundtables, and region-specific engagement events.
    • Collaborate with colleagues, leadership, board members, external partners, and vendors to ensure every event aligns with BRAC’s brand, advocacy, stewardship, and fundraising goals.
    • Manage all facets of execution, from planning and guest recruitment through run-of-show and post-event follow-up, ensuring each gathering is purposeful, polished, and builds lasting connections that advance BRAC’s mission.

    Support community-based and peer-to-peer initiatives (c. 20%)

    • Partner with the Communications and Individual Philanthropy team members to plan and coordinate peer‑to‑peer fundraising initiatives, including community-based activities such as walks, runs, campaigns, or other supporter-led events.
    • Provide logistical and branding support, support development of participant materials, and ensure events are consistent with BRAC’s visual identity.
    • Track participant engagement and share insights that can strengthen future efforts for the broader BRAC network.

    Produce partner- and donor-focused webinars (c. 20%)

    • Work in close partnership with BRAC and BRAC International communications teams in Dhaka and field offices to co-design and deliver at least four webinars annually. These sessions will highlight high‑demand topics and give donors and prospects access to program and technical experts across Africa and Asia.
    • Coordinate content development, scheduling, speaker preparation, audience recruitment, and pre- and post‑event communications to ensure a high‑quality experience.

Support Individual Philanthropy salon dinners (c. 10%)

    • Oversee logistics, support guest communications, and deliver on‑site coordination to ensure an exceptional experience for attendees.
    • Align event storytelling, materials, and environment with BRAC’s brand and fundraising goals, and support thoughtful follow‑up to deepen donor engagement.

Oversight of events strategy and systems (c. 10%)

    • Build and strengthen BRAC USA's annual event calendar, aligning it with BRAC's global events calendar, and wider organizational needs.
    • Oversee all event budgets, ensuring events are cost-effective, and alerting team members and partners when budgets are overstretched.
    • Build and maintain relationships with preferred vendors, including catering, production, materials, signage, and on-site support services.
    • Negotiate contracts for event services and serve as key vendor contact during all events.
    • Identify and procure digital tools to support event promotion, registration, management, attendee follow-up, and post-event communications; ensure timely and appropriate stewardship of attendees.
    • Track event metrics, such as attendance, cost, and outcomes, and provide feedback to ensure future programs can improve.

    Organizational Stewardship
