National Cathedral School seeks an innovative and collaborative Lower School art teacher who believes in the power of young women and is dedicated to nurturing their curiosity and potential. This full-time position will teach all Lower School art classes (grades 4, 5, and 6), which explore a wide variety of art topics, tools, and materials. Working creatively in the art department and integrating art with the Lower School team and curriculum is highly desired.

Teachers are on campus from 7:45 am to approximately 4:00 pm. Additional responsibilities include participating in department, division and faculty meetings, holding regular office hours, as well as attending chapel, cathedral services, and assemblies. LS Faculty participate in the life of the school by supervising lunch, recess, and dismissal duty on a rotating basis.
Salary and Benefits:
The full time salary for this position is $65,000-$140,000. The exact salary is determined based on education and teaching experience using a step scale. Benefits available include medical, dental, life insurance, a retirement plan with a school contribution, free parking or transit benefits, and lunch without charge, as well as support for professional development experiences. Additional stipends are available for coaching middle or upper school sports.
