SUMMARY
USA for UNHCR is seeking a highly skilled Digital Marketing Coordination Manager to join our team as we migrate to a new enterprise-wide digital communications platform (Engaging Networks). This role will play a critical part in managing and monitoring the platform operations including but not limited to, overseeing organizational communications calendar, platform governance, and best practices across the organization for digital communication.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in digital marketing, deliverability, data segmentation, platform integrations, and email production, along with strong problem-solving and communication skills. This is a pivotal role for ensuring that our constituents receive well-timed, relevant, and high-quality communications while supporting organizational goals and compliance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Enterprise Level Digital Coordination (60%):
- Monitor, manage and approve enterprise-wide email marketing calendars to prevent over-communication across the organization and ensure proper messaging prioritization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to prioritize and manage data sets and audiences, ensuring aligned and non-duplicative outreach.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure requesting teams have secured appropriate approvals on content
- Develop and deliver training sessions (e.g., guides, tutorials, FAQs) for employees tasked with using an enterprise-wide email platform (Engaging Networks) for fundraising and engagement campaigns, ensuring adherence to best practices and platform functionalities.
- Oversee and help enforce digital communications governance policies, ensuring that all outgoing communications comply with organizational digital guidelines for various teams across the organization.
- Develop strong collaborative partnership with the Communications, Stewardship, Private Philanthropy, and Partnership teams to support their implementation of tailored content as needed.
- Liaise with cross-functional teams to dispense final approvals and uphold email best practices and quality assurance on all deployed content, particularly with teams new to mass-market communications.
- Effectively communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
- Provide support and serve as a point of contact for email platform-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering guidance to users to maximize their effectiveness in executing digital communications to donors.
- Collaborate with relevant departments and team members to stay informed about platform updates, new features, and organizational communication strategies, incorporating knowledge into training sessions and ensuring consistent and complimentary digital communication practices across the organization.
- Serve as the point of escalation for digital marketing issues, ensuring timely resolution and proactive communication with supervisor when necessary.
Digital Marketing Production (40%):
- In partnership with the Director of Digital Marketing, develop automated audience-centric lifecycle campaigns from welcome emails to re-engagement flows that support acquisition, retention, and upgrade efforts.
- Focus on improving donor retention during the first 30, 60, and 90 days by creating personalized workflows and automations that enhance the post-donor experience.
- Support the Direct Response Team to design and implement one-off tailored solicitation and engagement outreach emails and SMS for various audiences.
- A/B testing & Optimization: Continuously test and optimize digital journeys for performance, experimenting with subject lines, copy, layout, and timing to improve engagement and conversation rates.
- Closely monitor and analyze KPIs to help guide strategic decision-making around audience targeting, testing, and campaign performance.
- Monitor and report on email deliverability, engagement metrics, and audience feedback to inform optimization and troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in digital fundraising.
- Demonstrated understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
- Donor-Centric Mindset:understanding of the motivations and expectations of donors, with a focus on delivering personalized, impactful experiences.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting compelling donor messages.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS, basic understanding of SQL, and JavaScript, Journey building, and Typeform.
- Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and online donation platforms, including familiarity with Salesforce and Engaging Networks source code structure.
- Experience analyzing donor data and implementing data-driven strategies for program optimization.
- Experience analyzing donor data and implementing data-driven strategies for program optimization.
- Adept at cultivating strong relationships with individual donors, internal teams, and external partners.
- Experience migrating into Engaging Networks is a plus.
- Familiarity with the international development or humanitarian sector.
- Experience working with and integrating applications using APIs is a bonus plus.
WORK LOCATION
Hybrid + Washington, DC + May also involve travel to some locations within the company’s region of operations and select donor locations.
COMPENSATION
$119,718 - $130,602
