Food Education Fund (FEF) is a 501(c)(3) career-development nonprofit connecting NYC public high school students to career pathways through hospitality. Through industry partnerships, experiential learning, and workforce development programming, FEF equips students with the professional skills, networks, and confidence needed to succeed in hospitality and beyond.
At the center of this work is PATH (Professional Access Through Hospitality) -- FEF’s core program model that connects students to industry exposure, mentorship, and career opportunities through structured learning and real-world experiences.
About the Role
Food Education Fund is seeking a Senior Director of Operations & Impact to lead the systems, analytics, and operational infrastructure that power PATH and FEF’s broader program portfolio.
This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of systems architecture, data analytics, and program operations. The Senior Director will build and oversee the infrastructure that ensures PATH programs are delivered with precision, measurable outcomes, and scalable systems.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, deeply analytical, and energized by building systems that translate complex data into actionable insights. They are comfortable managing Salesforce at an advanced level, navigating public-sector contract systems, and leading teams to deliver high-quality, data-informed programs.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in business, data systems, public administration, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in operations, analytics, program management, or related field
- Strong ability to design dashboards, analyze complex data sets, and translate insights into strategy
- Experience designing or significantly customizing Salesforce environments, not solely using CRM systems as an end user.
- Experience managing contracts or compliance within public-sector systems
- Familiarity with NYC DOE procurement systems such as PASSPort and Polaris strongly preferred
- Familiarity with MTAC vendor processes preferred
- Exceptional organizational, project management skills, communication and relationship management abilities
How You Will Spend Your Time
Impact Measurement & Analytics (30%)
- Partner with the Executive Director to define and manage key performance indicators tied to PATH student outcomes and program success
- Design, build, and maintain Salesforce architecture, including custom objects, automation workflows, and reporting structures that support program evaluation and operational management.
- Translate complex data sets into clear insights and reports for leadership, funders, and school partners
School Contracts & DOE Compliance (20%)
- Manage school partnership contracts through NYC Department of Education procurement systems including PASSPort and Polaris
- Track deliverables, reporting timelines, and contract renewal cycles
- Ensure compliance with DOE vendor processes and documentation requirements
- Support operational coordination related to FEF’s MTAC vendor status
Program Operations & Team Leadership (15%)
- Partner with the Executive Director to design operational systems that support FEF’s growth across additional schools and program partners.
- Develop systems and processes that improve program consistency and operational efficiency and oversee operational delivery of PATH across partner schools
- Supervise program and operations staff to ensure strong implementation and accountability
Training & Systems Adoption (5%)
- Provide Salesforce and data systems training for staff
- Develop best practices for CRM usage, data collection, and operational workflows
