    By The Hand is a not-for-profit, religious organization. Individuals employed at By The Hand are working in ministerial roles and perform all or some of the following responsibilities: sharing the Gospel, teaching chapel, leading Bible studies, discipling students, and modeling behavior that is consistent with Christ’s teaching.

    Rate of Pay: $50,000 per year

    Overview of Position

    Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, the Recruiting Coordinator will be responsible for the full cycle recruitment process of staff and interns. The Recruiting Coordinator manages a pipeline of talent through thoughtfully selecting candidates, coordinating the screening and selection process, and supporting the Human Resources department as needed. The primary role of the Recruiting Coordinator is to assist By The Hand in finding the best possible talent for our sites and departments and managing the applicant experience.

    Spiritual Requirements

    • Has a personal and saving relationship with Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that demonstrates the Word of God, and is in regular fellowship with other members in a Bible-believing church.
    • Agrees with the By The Hand Club Doctrinal Statement and adheres to the Employee Biblical Standards of Living.
    • Shows by example, the importance of Scripture memorization, Bible study, prayer, witnessing, and Christian fellowship.
    • Leads a team devotional on a regular basis and participates in weekly team prayer.
    • Has completed an evangelism course and is trained and prepared to share the gospel with anyone who inquires.
    • Works with staff and members of the EOS Leadership Team to monitor and enforce policies and procedures to further By The Hand Club’s religious purpose and freedom.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Performs in a way that is consistent with the vision, mission, and culture of By The Hand and commits to excellence in every aspect of the overall operation.
    • Models cultural values of By The Hand Club For Kids in day-to-day behavior.
    • Follows all policies as outlined in the operational guide, including maintaining brand standards and ensuring 100% adherence to the Child Protection Policy.
    • Participates in employee growth plans, including quarterly conversations and annual review meetings.
    • Participate in talent acquisition efforts for staff and interns. Manages the recruitment life cycle, including: updating job descriptions according to brand standards, posting open jobs and receiving applications and resumes, tracking applicants using online recruiting software and scheduling applicant interviews with Hiring Managers.
    • Assists with recruitment events under the direction of the Vice President of Human Resources.
    • Manage screening and selection by conducting resume reviews, phone interviews, reference checks, and background checks.
    • Screens and evaluates the faith journeys of potential candidates - making sure that they are saved, practicing spiritual disciplines, in agreement with our statement of faith and committed to our biblical standards of living.
    • Supports new employee and intern onboarding by processing all applications and running all employment verification checks associated with child protection laws.
    • Supports outreach efforts to identify and source candidates for open positions.
    • Attends key recruitment events such as university job fairs, church speaking opportunities, conferences, and networking events as needed.
    • Utilizes various sourcing methods to source both active and passive candidates.
    • Assists the HR team in orientation and entering new staff into our database systems to ensure a smooth hand off from recruiting to onboarding.
    • Ensures positive candidate and hiring manager experience through the recruiting process, effectively communicating and managing candidate and hiring manager expectations throughout the process.
    • Ensures complete integrity in tracking applicants and properly documents the talent acquisition process for each job opening.
    • Supports the Human Resources department by completing administrative tasks and projects when required and assigned, such as managing the HR email inbox and phone.
    • Works with the Vice President of Human Resources to monitor and enforce policies and procedures to further the BTH religious purpose and religious freedom.
    • Performs all other duties as required and assigned.

    Education and Experience:

    • B.A. or B.S. in related field and equivalent experience.
    • Three or more years of administrative experience.
    • Extensive knowledge of Google Suite and MS Office Suite.
    • Must have a valid driver's license, available transportation and their own auto insurance to travel around the city.

    Work Environment:

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopies, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical Demands:

    The employee is regularly required to speak and listen. This role may require you to move equipment from room to room and lift up to 50 pounds. The individual is also required to travel throughout the city and to other organization sites to meet with partners, candidates, and staff.
