    PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

    To support the growth, engagement, and retention of Alliance to End Hunger members by coordinating member communications, maintaining accurate records, supporting events and working groups, and delivering excellent service to stakeholders. This role provides administrative and logistical assistance to the membership and partnership team to help achieve the Alliance’s mission of ending hunger at home and abroad.

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

    Effort – 60%

    1. Serve as a point of contact for general member inquiries and provide responsive customer service.
    2. Support the onboarding of new members by coordinating welcome materials, communications, and database entry.
    3. Maintain and update member records in the Neon CRM system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    4. Assist with member engagement tracking and generate related reports to inform outreach and development strategies.
    5. Coordinate logistics and communications for member-related meetings, webinars, and working group calls.
    6. Draft, format, and distribute member-facing materials such as newsletters, event invites, and surveys.
    7. Help maintain membership lists, files, and documentation.
    8. Monitor and analyze member engagement data to identify trends and opportunities.
    9. Collaborate with communications staff to support member promotion through social media and other platforms.
    10. Provide administrative support to the President, including assistance with correspondence, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.

    Effort – 40%

    1. Assist with event planning and logistics, including preparation of materials, scheduling, note-taking, and follow-up.
    2. Support cross-department collaboration related to membership engagement, fundraising, and advocacy.
    3. Assist with drafting reports, presentations, proposals, and meeting agendas.
    4. Monitor dues payments, prepare and track invoices, and draft acknowledgments.
    5. Perform other duties as assigned.

    SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:

    • Participate in Alliance staff meetings and contribute to annual work planning and team-building activities.

    SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

    • May assist in supervising interns or fellows as appropriate.

    SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

    • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years relevant work experience.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and work independently.
    • Familiarity with CRM databases (Salesforce, Neon, or similar) preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Commitment to the mission of ending hunger and interest in nonprofit work.
    • Experience in customer service, administrative support, or membership services is a plus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT ISSUES:

    • Occasional evening or weekend work may be required for meetings or events.
    • Candidate must be willing to work in the office 2-3 days a week as part of a hybrid model.
