These fellowships provide hands-on experience, professional networking, and the chance to complete your master’s degree while saving 50–100% on tuition.
As a Graduate Fellow, you may:
- Assist with research and program development
- Serve as a teaching assistant for introductory courses
- Contribute to health, performance, and research initiatives at Merrimack College or partner organizations

- Master of Science in Biology
- Master of Science in Civil Engineering
- Master of Science in Exercise and Sport Science
- Master of Science in Health Promotion and Management
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
Fellowship Details:
Exercise and Sport Science / Health Promotion & Management Fellows:
- 9-month professional experience (Aug 2026 – May 2027)
- Hours: 25/week (Presidential, 100% tuition) or 15/week (Provost, 50% tuition)
- Earn your master’s degree in one year with discounted tuition
Applied Chemistry / Biology Fellows:
- Teaching assistant for 2 introductory STEM courses per semester
- Contribute to faculty research
- Earn master’s degree 100% tuition-free
- Serve 25 hours/week while taking evening courses
Civil / Mechanical Engineering Fellows (Thesis Option):
- Graduate research assistant alongside faculty
- Earn master’s degree 100% tuition-free
- Serve 15 hours/week while taking evening courses
- Duration: 2 years
Eligibility:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 3.0 GPA preferred (lower GPAs considered with additional evaluation)
- Authorized to work 25 hours/week in the U.S.
- Primarily in-person roles at Merrimack College or surrounding communities

- Duration of Fellowship Placement: August 2026 to late May 2027 (May 2028 for 2-year programs)
