H.O.M.E (Housing Opportunities & Maintenance for the Elderly) has several openings for its' Resident Assistant position. Resident Assistants live full-time at either the Nathalie Salmon House (NSH) or Pat Crowley House (PCH) apartments.
The Resident Assistant provide home-cooked weekend meal service to participants in the Good Life Senior Residence program at NSH or PCH. Resident Assistants also provide support to the Resident Engagement Coordinator and the PCH Manager. Resident Assistant will support the Resident Engagement Coordinator on outings and assisting with H.O.M.E sponsored programs.
Resident Assistants pay a fixed monthly rate of $300 OR $500 depending on which living arrangement they choose. Amenities include free laundry service, and all utilities paid for by H.O.M.E. Resident Assistant may also join in the weekly meal service provided to Good Life participants.
Our Nathalie Salmon House is located in Rogers Park. Laundry is located on the floor. Monthly paid parking is available at the back of the building. The 147 stops directly in front of the building and the Jarvis Red Line stop is 1.5 blocks away. "Jack and Jill" suites are available that include a shared bathroom with one other tenant. "Jack and Jill" suites rent for $300.
There is also a shared apartment available with two separate bedrooms available for rent. This is a full-service apartment with two full bathrooms and a kitchen. The rent is $500 per bedroom. The maximum occupancy is two people. This unit is available after November 15th.
Our Pat Crowley House is located in Edgewater. Laundry is located in the basement. Free street parking is available. The area is served by 22, 36, 151, and 155 buses, all within one block of the building. The Loyola Red Line stop is 10 minutes away. Resident Assistant rent one bedroom in a three-bedroom apartment. The rent is $300 per month.

This is not a paid position. H.OM.E provides Resident Assistants with discounted housing. Residents Assistants may have P/T or F/T jobs that do not impeded on the stated requirement to provide weekend meal service.

All Resident Assistant applications must fill out the H.O.M.E apartment application form. Please note on the form that you are applying for the Resident Assistant position. All Resident Assistants are evaluated for tenancy according to the policies and procedures outlined in the CRLTO. All Resident Assistants must submit all requested information by any deadlines requested by the Housing Support Specialist.

As part of their evaluation, all Resident Assistants are required to perform a cooking demonstration at either NSH or PCH site.
