Mercado Global is seeking a highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented Digital Design & E-Commerce Associate to support our visual communications and manage our e-commerce platforms. This role is essential for driving online sales, strengthening brand visibility, and supporting our fundraising efforts through high-quality visual execution.
The position collaborates closely with the Marketing Manager and works cross-functionally with the Development, Sales, and Design teams.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Design & Visual Production
- Develop and execute brand-aligned visual materials across print, digital, and social media platforms.
- Design high-quality email campaigns using Klaviyo (or similar platforms).
- Retouch and edit images for product photography, marketing materials, and social media.
- Create branded Canva templates for internal teams (presentations, invitations, decks, line sheets, digital assets).
- Update brand guidelines and visual documentation as needed.
- Create and manage the visual identity and design collateral for fundraising galas and other major events.
E-commerce & Platform Management
- Manage and maintain Mercado Global’s Shopify store, ensuring it remains updated, optimized, and visually consistent.
- Support merchandising strategy to ensure product pages and collections reflect current priorities.
- Update homepage banners, collections, and other web assets monthly.
- Assist the EVP of Strategic Partnerships on conversion optimization initiatives.
- Integrate new features to enhance both Merchandising and Donation functionality.
- Support fundraising and ticketing integrations (Paybee or similar platforms).
- Maintain wholesale tools including line sheets, brand one-pagers, and product listings on platforms such as Faire.
Collateral & Deliverables Management
- Ensure that line sheets, RMPs, and brand one-pagers are updated on time to support sales growth.
- Produce digital and printed materials for fundraising events (invitations, e-blasts, banners, programs, menus, posters, table cards, etc.).
- Organize and properly name all final and editable files in Box (cloud storage).
- Provide all working files, links, and deliverables in an organized manner for cross-team use.
Digital Analytics & Operational Support
- Manage the Google Ads Grant and support execution of digital ad campaigns.
- Pull and report Google Analytics insights bimonthly (topline data and performance trends).
- Co-lead weekly Development & Marketing meetings to track progress and deadlines.
- Support Sales, Marketing, and Fundraising teams with assigned digital or design projects.
Key Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in digital design or e-commerce.
- Excellent professional communication skills in English.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Foundational knowledge of HTML and CSS.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain brand consistency.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to commit to the role for at least two years.
- Genuine enthusiasm for Mercado Global’s mission and values.
Preferred
- Experience with Shopify and e-commerce merchandising.
- Experience with Google Analytics and Google Ads; Google Ads Grant is a plus.
- Familiarity with UX/UI best practices.
- Experience integrating fundraising or ticketing tools (e.g., Paybee).
- Experience conducting user research or analyzing design trends.
