Media Production Specialist

Job Summary:

As an Media Production Specialist at The Bail Project, your primary focus will be on creating high-quality audio and video content, with a secondary role in supporting graphic design and written content tasks. This position is tailored for individuals who are skilled in video production and editing, particularly for social media platforms, and have a working knowledge of graphic design. Your role will involve developing engaging video content, incorporating animations and special effects, and adapting these materials for various digital platforms. While video production is the core of this role, your ability to assist with graphic design tasks will be valuable in supporting our overall content creation efforts.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Video Production and Editing
   1. Produce and edit video content for social media, ensuring it is engaging and optimized for each platform.
   2. Incorporate animations and effects using After Effects or similar software to enhance storytelling and viewer engagement.
2. Audio-Visual Content Creation
   1. Capture high-quality audio and video for a variety of projects.
   2. Manage all aspects of A/V production, from planning to post-production.
3. Social Media Content Adaptation
   1. Tailor video content for different social media platforms, understanding platform-specific requirements and audience preferences.
   2. Stay current with social media trends and best practices in content creation.
4. Animation and Motion Graphics
   1. Use skills in motion graphics to add creative elements to video content.
   2. Apply animation techniques to make content more dynamic and engaging.
5. Project Management
   1. Handle multiple content creation projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
   2. Balance independent work with collaborative efforts in content development.
   3. Collaborate with the Digital Engagement Specialist to contribute consistent shortform video and Reels content for our shared media calendar, aligning with TBP’s messaging and social media strategy.
6. Support in Graphic Design and Written Content
   1. Assist with graphic design tasks as needed, helping to create visual content for digital and print media.
   2. Apply basic design principles to support marketing and promotional activities.
   3. Assist in content creation as needed including but not limited to authoring news posts for our website.
7. Support in Marketing and Advertising
   1. Assist with setting up, monitoring, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns, particularly YouTube Ads, to ensure strong performance and audience reach.
   2. Collaborate with the marketing team and external partners as needed to execute campaign goals.
8. Digital Asset Management
   1. Organize and archive digital media assets, including videos, photos, and audio files.
   2. Maintain a systematic approach for easy retrieval and future use.
9. Storytelling and Scripting
   1. Craft compelling narratives that resonate with our audience and effectively communicate our message.
   2. Collaborate with team members to script and storyboard content as needed.
10. Equipment Maintenance and Inventory
    1. Regularly inspect and maintain A/V equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
    2. Manage inventory of equipment and supplies, keeping track of purchases and rentals.
11. Professional Development
    1. Continuously update skills in video editing, animation, and A/V content production.
    2. Keep informed about new technologies and trends in the field.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in video production and editing, particularly for social media.
• Skilled in using video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Basic knowledge and ability to assist with graphic design tasks.
• Strong understanding of creating content for various social media platforms.

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a creative team.
