    Posted Date: December 22, 2025

Deadline: Open until filled. Priority given to applications submitted by Jan 31, 2026.

    Location: Remote

    Organization Description:

Founded in 1981, GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ+ Equality is a national organization committed to ensuring health equity for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) individuals, and equality for LGBTQ+ health professionals in their work and learning environments. To achieve this mission, GLMA utilizes the scientific expertise of its diverse multidisciplinary membership to inform and drive advocacy, education, and research.

    Position Description:

The Development Manager/Director will play a central role in driving GLMA’s revenue strategy, with a primary focus on corporate conference support, individual giving, and major donor stewardship. This role works very closely with the Executive Director, serving as a strategic thought partner and operational lead who helps prioritize, manage, and maximize the ED’s time and relationships in fundraising.

This is an ideal role for a development professional who is both relationship-oriented and data-driven—someone who uses data to inform strategy, prioritize opportunities, and demonstrate impact, while maintaining a strong donor-centered approach.

This position is hands-on and execution-focused, with the Title (Manager vs Director) and strategic responsibility scaled to experience.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

    See detailed application instructions below.

    • PLEASE NOTE: Only applications submitted through the form will be considered!**

    • Track corporate relationships across conference cycles to support long-term partnership growth

    Individual & Major Donor Giving

    • Manage and grow GLMA’s individual giving program, including annual, mid-level, and major donors
    • Serve as primary steward for a portfolio of major and leadership-level donors, with comfort in direct relationship management
    • Use donor data to segment audiences, identify upgrade opportunities, and inform cultivation strategies
    • Support donor cultivation and solicitation strategies in close coordination with the Executive Director
    • Ensure thoughtful, timely, and values-aligned donor stewardship

Executive Director Partnership & Fundraising Management

    • Work in close, day-to-day partnership with the Executive Director on fundraising strategy and execution
    • Help manage and prioritize the ED’s development time, including identifying high-value opportunities and highest-return relationships
    • Prepare data-informed briefing materials, donor profiles, and meeting prep for the Executive Director

    • Monitor performance against revenue goals and provide regular, data-driven updates to the Executive Director
    • Support annual development planning, forecasting, and goal-setting using historical trends and projections
    • Use data to inform decisions about where staff and leadership time is best invested
    • Support membership-related fundraising strategies; experience with membership associations is a plus

    GLMA Operations & All-Hands Responsibilities

    • Attend the Annual Conference and contribute to onsite coordination, sponsor engagement, and donor stewardship as needed
    • Support additional travel for staff retreats or key organizational convenings
    • Contribute to cross-team visioning and planning around membership growth, engagement, and advancement opportunities that support GLMA’s long-term sustainability
