About IAC
The Intertribal Agriculture Council (IAC) was founded in 1987 to pursue and promote the conservation, development, and use of Tribes’ agricultural resources. Since our founding, the IAC has been guided by our member Tribes, and we have worked diligently to advance Tribes’ agricultural priorities on the more than 56 million acres of land in the United States that are under Tribal jurisdiction. In addition to elevating Indian Country’s agricultural priorities among policymakers, IAC also provides on-the-ground technical assistance, domestic and international marketing support, natural resource management, small agribusiness development, youth programming, and more to Tribes and individual producers across the United States and within Indian Country.
Job Summary
The Regional Outreach and Education Manager supports IAC’s mission “to pursue and promote the conservation, development, and sustainable use of agricultural resources for the betterment of Tribal Nations and their citizens.” The manager helps ensure that Tribal Nations and producers throughout the assigned regions receive consistent outreach, education, and technical assistance, and that regional needs and field intelligence inform IAC’s portfolio and service decisions.
The manager aligns regional work with IAC’s portfolio direction and is responsible for regional service coverage, staff supervision, producer and Tribal service outcomes, and the accurate and timely completion of assigned work, reporting, and funded deliverables. For cross-portfolio work, the manager coordinates regional staff assignments, contributions, handoffs, and follow-through consistent with the ownership established for each project. The manager sets and reassigns staff priorities, addresses performance or delivery barriers, provides direct technical assistance, and assumes additional field responsibilities when vacancies or service gaps require it.
The responsibilities listed below describe the primary work of this position and are not intended to be a complete inventory of every duty or assignment. Specific responsibilities may vary based on regional needs, funding requirements, and organizational priorities without changing the general nature, scope, or level of the position.
