Dayenu: A Jewish Call to Climate Action seeks a Digital Communications Manager to design and grow Dayenu’s messaging and content across our social channels, e-mail, and website to communicate with our existing base of activists and leaders, bring new people and partners into Dayenu’s climate action work, and help build a spiritually rooted Jewish climate movement.
This is an exciting opportunity for a creative communications professional to experiment with new and existing digital channels, develop digital resources that draw on a wellspring of Jewish traditions, rituals, and arts and music, work collaboratively with a talented team of organizers and advocates to grow our movement, and join a dynamic young organization that is mobilizing the American Jewish community to confront the climate crisis with spiritual audacity and bold political action.

Responsibilities
Social media strategy and execution
- Develop and execute creative strategies to engage, cultivate, and grow Dayenu’s audiences across all digital platforms.
- Manage a steady stream of content on all platforms, creating visuals and captions to share Dayenu’s many programs and campaigns.
- Track and analyze Dayenu’s digital engagement and growth across platforms.
- Pursue and maintain partnerships with allied organizations to collaborate on digital content, amplify posts (particularly from environmental justice and frontline groups), learn from, and mutually support each other’s work.
Graphic design
- Serve as the primary graphic designer for the organization, upholding branding guidelines across all platforms.
- Produce a steady stream of compelling share graphics for digital platforms (social channels, emails).
- Develop assets for new campaigns (logos, graphics).
Email and data
- Manage Dayenu’s email communications, including facilitating the editing process, uploading, and sending.
- Implement best practices for email maintenance: track cadence and metrics, maintain a digital calendar, monitor metrics, and implement list segmentation and suppressions as appropriate.
- Manage the CRM database (currently Every Action).
Web site
- Maintain and regularly update Dayenu’s website, including designing new pages and creating new web content.
- Create and manage digital actions and campaigns: online petitions, calls to email and phone, and create and manage registration pages as necessary.
Management Responsibilities
- Manage Dayenu’s existing communications consultants and work with new consultants as appropriate.
- Hire and manage communications interns.
- Work with outside vendors, artists, and photographers to help tell the story of our work and grow our movement.
- Stay up to date on technology, trends, and digital best practice; experiment with and implement new features as appropriate.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in digital campaigning, marketing, graphic design, and/or digital content creation
- Facility with social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky, LinkedIn, TikTok
- Excellent project management skills, with efficient time and workload management skills and orientation to detail
- Creativity, eye for design, and willingness to experiment
- Experience with CRMs and advocacy tools; facility with EveryAction, AirTable, and NewMode a plus
- Experience maintaining and improving websites. Basic HTML & CSS knowledge. Facility with WordPress, Elementor a plus
- Graphic design experience; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Canva a plus
- Works well both independently and collaboratively
- A track record of working with people across lines of difference, engaging with diverse communities, and a manifest commitment to anti-racist practice
- Passionate about Dayenu’s mission and commitment to growing a multigenerational, multiracial Jewish climate movement
- Knowledge of Jewish community, tradition, and culture strongly preferred
- Knowledge of climate action and environmental justice landscapes preferred
