    The Organization: The Seattle Housing Authority (SHA) is a mission-driven leader in affordable housing, headquartered on Elliot Ave West with sweeping views of Elliot Bay and the Puget Sound. With additional field offices across Seattle, we are committed to expanding housing opportunities, strengthening communities, and supporting a workplace where people grow and thrive.

    The position: We are looking for two senior property managers to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who can oversee an assigned portfolio of low-income housing, including managing resources, overseeing operations and services, and supervising and evaluating staff.

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in business, property management, social services, human services, public administration, or a related field
      • May substitute an additional four years of relevant work experience for the required degree
    • Six years of experience in residential property management

    What will you do?

    1. Develop and administer operational plans and budgets for the assigned portfolio
    2. Build and sustain strong partnerships with management, community and supportive services, and service providers
    3. Develop and direct a marketing strategy that successfully attracts low-income and moderate-income families and individuals
    4. Develop and manage a site-based wait list and screening criteria that comply with all SHA policies and federal, state, and local laws and regulations
    5. Plan, facilitate, and approve repairs and improvements
    6. Evaluate and improve the maintenance and repair program for the assigned portfolio
    7. Oversee all procurement activity for the assigned portfolio
    8. Oversee resident lease compliance efforts
    9. Oversee assigned portfolio staff, including hiring, training, supervision, and performance evaluation
    10. Provide technical expertise, information, and assistance to the property management leadership team
    11. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, commercial tenants, staff, community leaders, and community members
    12. Manage, monitor, and enforce the safety and health program for the assigned portfolio
