PRASAD is seeking an experienced and organized Volunteer Engagement Consultant to help design and launch a comprehensive volunteer program that supports our nonprofit's mission and programs. This is an exciting opportunity to build a sustainable volunteer engagement framework that will strengthen community involvement and expand our organizational capacity.
The consultant will assess current and potential volunteer opportunities, develop a Volunteer Engagement Plan, create volunteer roles and supporting materials, recommend policies and best practices, and establish systems for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, communication, tracking, and recognition. The consultant will also assist with recruiting and placing volunteers for selected pilot opportunities and provide regular progress updates and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Experience in volunteer management, nonprofit administration, community engagement, human resources, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
- Experience developing organizational systems or volunteer programs is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and virtual meeting platforms.
Contract Terms
- Independent Contractor
- Remote position with a flexible schedule
- Approximately 5–10 hours per week
- Initial six-month contract with the possibility of extension

Expected Deliverables
During the initial contract period, the consultant will:
- Assess volunteer needs and opportunities.
- Develop a Volunteer Engagement Plan.
- Create volunteer role descriptions and recruitment materials.
- Establish volunteer onboarding and communication processes.
- Recruit, place, and support volunteers for selected pilot opportunities.
- Develop recommendations for expanding volunteer engagement
- Submit a final report with outcomes and future recommendations.
