Reporting to the Academic Program Manager of General Education, the Instructional Design Assistant/College Assistant will support program staff and faculty in the development, revision and maintenance of General Education online courses.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the building and revision of courses in the Brightspace learning environment using new and revised content provided by the academic program
- Provide maintenance support for existing courses on an as-needed basis
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
Preferred Minimum Qualification:
- High school diploma/GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with Brightspace or similar learning management systems (LMS)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or other productivity suites
- Interest in or experience with emerging educational technologies and open-source educational materials
- Demonstrated comfort and confidence working with digital tools and platforms
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Coursework or prior experience in instructional design or related fields
