The Opportunity:
YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School is seeking a highly organized, analytical, and motivated Development Coordinator to support our fundraising, donor engagement, and communications efforts. Reporting to the Senior Director of Development and working closely with the Director of Communications, the Development Coordinator will play a vital role in advancing YouthBuild Philly’s mission by strengthening the overall capacity and efficiency of the Development team. Key responsibilities include managing donor stewardship and gift acknowledgment, maintaining the donor database, coordinating fundraising campaigns and special events, and supporting grant submissions. The Coordinator will also facilitate donor communications by overseeing the production and distribution of email blasts, appeal mailings, and other outreach. In addition, they will manage regular content for social media and website updates, coordinate donor tours and site visits, track media mentions, and conduct prospect research.
This role also requires strong analytical skills, as the Development Coordinator will be responsible for tracking progress toward fundraising goals, generating weekly progress reports, supporting board reporting, and helping the team stay organized and on target. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

New YouthBuild Coordinator level staff can expect a starting salary of between $46,000 - $60,500 based on years of experience, education, and certifications, if applicable.
