    Job Title: Catalyst

    Start Date: The ideal start date for this position is September 1st; all candidates must be able to start before the end of September.

    Terms: Full-time 1-year contract with possibility of renewal based on funding

    Location: Remote (US-based)

    Reports to: US Program Director

    Salary: $67,255 USD/year

    About the role

    The Catalyst (Facilitator) will work with leaders and teams across a variety of social sectors to help them shape and implement System Transformation initiatives, including 100-Day Challenges. The position will require facilitating workshops during a client’s engagement and regular coaching of community teams. The Catalyst will work primarily with the Housing & Homelessness team and will focus on jump-starting and accelerating efforts to prevent and end homelessness in the United States. The Catalyst will work remotely and report to the US Housing and Homelessness Program Director.

    Frequent travel (>40%) is required to support teams primarily throughout the US before, during, and after their 100-Day Challenges, as well as for RE!NSTITUTE’s annual team retreat.

    Catalyst Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Facilitation and Coaching of System Transformation Initiatives and 100-Day Challenges (65%):

    • Facilitate RE!NSTITUTE System Transformation initiatives and 100-Day Challenge workshops in an engaging and results-driven manner, and coach teams through the design, implementation, and sustainability of their specific community engagement.
    • Lay the groundwork for successful community engagement by conducting interviews with partners and stakeholders, analyzing systems, and identifying potential approaches.
    • Effectively manage implementation issues, relationship dynamics, competing agendas, and political potholes for each community.
    • Work closely with the MEL and Comms teams to ensure that relevant data, insights, and other information are collected and shared regularly.
    • Give and receive feedback from colleagues on internal workshop facilitation and coaching
    • Analyze, share, and apply real-time data to understand baseline conditions, track what's working and what's not, and support teams to identify the successful strategies that lead to lasting change.

    Project Management (10%)

    • Support the relationship and follow-up of existing engagements.
    • Track and report activities and expenses on internal platforms.
    • Manage logistics for implementing community engagements.

    Curriculum Design (5%)

    • Support the adaptation of curriculum materials for projects

    Documenting and Reporting (10%)

    • Write detailed and clear reports on the communities’ progress and learning.

    Organization-wide Support (10%)

    • Support RE!NSTITUTE team members on projects and operations as needed.
    • Work collaboratively with other coaches to identify, share, and implement effective practices, challenges, and innovative ideas.
    • Participation in organizational working groups as needed to help meet strategic goals (equity, practice, etc).

    Application Timeline

    1. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until August 7th, 2026.
    2. First round interviews will take place throughout August.
    3. After the first round interview, we will ask for 2-3 references.
    4. Second round interviews with a skills test will follow.
    5. We aim to have an offer made by the middle of September.
