Campus Compact is a national coalition of colleges and universities committed to the public purposes of higher education. As the largest national higher education association dedicated solely to higher education civic and community engagement, Campus Compact enables higher education institutions to develop students’ citizenship skills and forge effective community partnerships. Our resources support senior administrators, faculty, staff, and students as they pursue community-based teaching, scholarship, and action in the service of positive change.

About the role
The Director of Coalitions & Member Experience owns member value realization, with particular attention to how institutions experience Campus Compact, derive meaning from participation, and choose to remain engaged over time. Sitting at the intersection of relationship management, engagement strategy, and coalition infrastructure, this role serves as the primary steward of member retention and renewal strategy, member leadership pathways, and coalition vitality.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Membership, this position ensures that engagement is intentional, sequenced, and responsive to institutional context, and that member voice meaningfully informs organizational priorities, programs, and structures.

Undergraduate degree required, graduate degree preferred 3+ in roles with a similar level of capacity & responsibilities that include experience performing duties outlined above; some higher education experience strongly preferred

Position Type: This is a remote, full-time, exempt position.
Location: This is a remote position with regular travel required for staff gatherings, coalition meetings, recruitment events/conferences, and Compact Events, most specifically our annual All Staff, in-person Retreat.
Reporting Structure: Senior Director, Membership
Compensation Band: $85,000 - $95,000
