    Descrição

    Overview:

The Programs Manager will play a key leadership role in sustaining and expanding TACT’s national peer support programs. This position oversees volunteer training and onboarding, manages the Resource & Response Program, and supports our external equity trainings and continuing education efforts. This includes co-facilitating our 8-week Gender Advocate training program (including a dedicated BIPOC cohort), supporting Peer Facilitator training, and helping to build a values-aligned volunteer pipeline. The ideal candidate brings strong facilitation skills, a systems mindset, and deep alignment with TACT’s anti-oppressive, trans-centered values. This role blends internal coordination with external-facing educational work and requires comfort holding space across race, gender, and power lines.

    About TACT:

TACT (Trans Advocacy & Care Team) provides free virtual peer counseling, support groups, and resource navigation for transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive adults (18+). We’re building a national peer support network for trans and nonbinary individuals across the U.S.

As a trans-led organization, TACT centers the lived experiences of trans and nonbinary people. Our work is driven by the belief that trans joy is possible when trans folks have the support they need to thrive. We use a healing justice lens to create systems of care that are responsive, liberatory, and grounded in connection.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Co-facilitate 8-week Gender Advocate trainings, including BIPOC-only cohorts, and support Peer Facilitator training
    • Collaborate with the Director and Programs Coordinator to update and adapt training materials using anti-oppressive and trauma-informed frameworks
    • Manage the full volunteer lifecycle: screen applications, onboard new peer counselors and facilitators, and help maintain engagement and retention across volunteer teams
    • Supervise volunteers in the Resource & Response Program, including onboarding, project coordination, and supportive check-ins
    • Maintain and analyze data systems to track volunteer participation, feedback, and community impact; use insights to inform strategy, strengthen program delivery, and guide organizational decisions
    • Support the growth of TACT’s external-facing equity trainings and CEU-eligible education offerings, including outreach, planning, and facilitation
    • Contribute to internal planning, program development, and long-term strategy as part of the leadership team

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Strong familiarity with the needs of trans communities, especially trans communities of color, is key
    • Lived experience as a transgender, nonbinary, or gender-diverse person—especially for those also part of BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, or global majority) communities—is especially valuable in guiding peer volunteers and co-facilitating our BIPOC cohort
    • Strong facilitation experience, especially in peer-led or community-based contexts
    • Experience designing or leading anti-racist, trauma-informed, or healing justice-aligned trainings
    • Comfort managing volunteer teams and navigating collaborative workflows
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience with platforms such as Airtable, Zoom, Google Drive, Canva, Asana, Dubsado, and Slack—or a willingness to learn
    • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
    • Degree in social work, mental health, education, or organizing is a plus, but not required (4 or more years of professional experience and/or other professional trainings or certifications can also substitute for degree)
