    Descrição

    The National Committee on United States-China Relations fosters communication and exchange between the United States and China in support of productive bilateral relations and U.S. national interests.

    The National Committee achieves its mission through public educational programming, dialogues and exchanges between American and Chinese counterparts on issues of importance to the U.S.-China relationship, and supporting next-generation leadership development.

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    The program operations associate supports the operational infrastructure that enables NCUSCR's programs, communications, and development functions to run effectively and in concert. Working across departmental lines, the associate contributes to the design, implementation, and maintenance of the systems and workflows that keep the organization's institutional activities running — translating operational needs into functional tools, processes, and standards that support programs, events, and strategic initiatives.

    KEY OVERVIEW:

    • Contributes to the operational work that keeps the Committee’s programs, initiatives, and systems running accurately and consistently
    • Implements and maintains CRM workflows, automations, and integrations that support the organization’s operational infrastructure
    • Supports the operational planning and on-site execution of major institutional events
    • Works across programs, communications, and development, in support of the organization’s operational and institutional priorities

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    CRM Planning & Administration

    • Implements and maintains CRM structures that support program logistics, event operations, membership tracking, and institutional contacts, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all organizational use cases
    • Builds and maintains email workflows, registration platforms, and integrations including FormAssembly, translating operational requirements into functional tools
    • Develops and refines CRM-based workflows for recurring programs and events, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
    • Conducts regular data audits and deduplication to maintain data integrity across the CRM
    • Contributes to staff training materials and provides user support on CRM and operational tools across the organization
    • Stays current with Salesforce releases and third-party tool updates, evaluating relevance to organizational workflows

    Program processes & operations

    • Implements operational processes for programs across the portfolio, including CHINA Town Hall, next-generation fellowships, government engagement programs, and individual membership initiatives
    • Maintains standardized workflows, timelines, and documentation practices for program planning, execution, and wrap-up
    • Builds and maintains program-specific tools and automations, including triggered communications, logistics sequencing workflows, and reporting dashboards that support programming
    • Supports program evaluation by collecting and organizing data that feeds into performance reporting for senior leadership and board

    Major Event operations

    • Supports the operational planning and on-site execution of major institutional events, including the annual gala, senior leader events, board and corporate programs
    • Handles operational details that events depend on, including participant lists, briefing materials, run-of-show documents, registration workflows, and attendee communications
    • Ensures post-event documentation and data capture are completed accurately and on time

    Development operations

    • Supports gift tracking and donor data management in Salesforce, maintaining data accuracy and integrity across development cycles
    • Assists with operational logistics for large-scale donor engagement events, including attendee management and post-event documentation
    • Contributes to reporting on fundraising performance and donor engagement in support of senior leadership

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • 1-3 years operations experience
    • Strong technology skills (Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience with Salesforce required; HTML knowledge preferred)
    • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
    • Able to multitask and work well under pressure, both independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate efficiently in a calm and professional manner
    • Must be able to work a hybrid schedule in our Manhattan-based office.

    The expected annual salary range for this position is between $65,000-70,000.
