The Healthcare Consortium is a local, not-for-profit organization that is based in Hudson and serves the residents of Columbia and Greene Counties. The Consortium is seeking someone to take our oldest, largest and best-known program—the Children and Adults Rural Transportation Service, or C.A.R.T.S. –to the next level as our new Transportation Program Director. We’re looking for someone who is highly organized, a good time manager, and a big-picture thinker who wants the challenge of transforming the current operation into a sustainable business model.
The Transportation Program Director is a full-time (35 hr/week) exempt role that is responsible for everything related to C.A.R.T.S., including, but not limited to: overseeing the day-to-day operation of the program; managing vendor and partner relationships; leading business planning and development efforts; and, promoting the program through various forms of advertising and outreach.
This role supervises the Transportation Program Coordinator, the Transportation Program Assistant, and all drivers. Therefore, we are looking for candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience supervising staff. Candidates must also have a real comfort with MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and especially Excel as well as the ability to learn and leverage a licensed transportation scheduling and billing software, navigate the internet, and utilize smart phones and tablets. A knowledge of Columbia County and the region is helpful but can also be learned. Candidates must possess a valid and clean driver’s license.
The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $69,000 annually, depending upon skills and experience, with a rich benefit package. The Healthcare Consortium’s offices are located in an ADA-compliant facility.
