    Descrição

Lead Locally is hiring a cohort of part-time organizing fellows (10-15 hours/week) in Eugene, Oregon to get out the vote for the Eugene Clean Energy Fund. Fellows will be connected to the ballot measure campaign and will receive training and coaching on get-out-the-vote skills like canvassing and phone banking from experienced organizers.

Details: Local climate, health, housing, social, and racial justice organizations have come together to develop the Eugene Clean Energy Fund Initiative, which is on the November 2026 ballot. Through a fee on the profits of the largest, wealthiest businesses in Eugene, ECEF will fund community-driven programs to expand publicly-owned renewable energy, invest in climate resiliency, fund household energy efficiency measures, and create green jobs.

Timeline: The fellowship will run from the week of September 7 through the week of November 3.

Hours: Hours include a mix of weekday and weekend evening times in order to reach a wide range of voters. We also have required weekly Zoom calls on Mondays, which require availability in the 2-6pm PT / 5-9pm ET range.

Compensation: Fellows will be paid $25/hour for approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Transportation: Consistent access to a car is required.

Application Deadline: We will invite qualified candidates to interview on a rolling basis. We encourage interested applicants to complete this brief application form by end of day on Sunday, August 23.

Note that applicants must be 18+

    More about Lead Locally:

Lead Locally started in 2016 to build power for down ballot races at the city, state, and county level to support candidates that pledge to fight for climate justice and block new fossil fuel infrastructure in their districts. We know that if we're to maintain a livable climate for future generations, we need cities and states to step up to ensure the transition to clean energy at every level. As the federal government rolls back critical investments in climate action and environmental justice, we need to elect candidates that will ensure states transition to a clean energy economy, reject new fossil fuel infrastructure, and advocate for environmental justice policy.
