Summary of this position:
The Donor Relations Coordinator is a mid-level, non-management fundraising position and member of the ACLU Of Oregon’s Development Team. This role is responsible for managing a portfolio of mid-level donors and strengthening the organization’s donor pipeline through strategic qualification, cultivation, and stewardship efforts.
This position serves as both a relationship manager for donors with the capacity to give $1,000–$10,000 annually and as a key driver of donor engagement systems that support the broader development team. This role ensures donors are effectively qualified, thoughtfully stewarded, and meaningfully connected to the organization’s work.

We are looking for individuals with the following experience, abilities, and values:
Required experience —
- Two (2+) years of experience in nonprofit fundraising
- Experience securing gifts; scheduling visits, soliciting, closing, and stewarding donors or funders.
- Experience converting prospects into donors; qualification and cultivation outreach, stewardship events, and other relationship-building strategies.
- Proficiency with donor-centered software; CRMs, databases, research tools, and other fundraising-related technology, or the demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly.
Strongly preferred —
- Knowledge of and values alignment with Community-Centric Fundraising principles and practices
- Fundraising events experience
- Experience working in a mission-driven or advocacy-based nonprofit environment
