National Cathedral School is an Episcopal school that seeks an experienced and collaborative Upper School Religious Studies Teacher who believes in the power of young women and is dedicated to nurturing their curiosity and potential. This full-time position includes teaching about world religious traditions, ethical perspectives, and sacred texts. Upper School Religious Studies is an essential component of our NCS experience, providing students the opportunity to learn about religion as an academic discipline, while supporting them to reflect on their own existential beliefs and identities as scholars and human beings. This individual will be a robust and energetic teacher, enthusiastic about the subject matter as well as an overall positive member of the Upper School community.

Teachers are on campus from 7:45am to approximately 4pm. Additional responsibilities include participating in department, division and faculty meetings, holding regular office hours, as well as attending chapel, cathedral services, and assemblies. Faculty participate in the life of the school by supervising a study hall, sponsoring a student club, or leading an extracurricular program.
