Having recently completed a $25M capital campaign that tripled the endowment and allowed OSL to satisfy the mortgage on The DiMenna Center, the company is now in the position to grow a sustainable annual fund by investing in the Development Department. The Orchestra celebrated its 50th anniversary in the 2024/25 season.
Job purpose
Orchestra of St. Luke’s seeks an Associate Director of Institutional Giving to fuel the mission and business of Orchestra of St. Luke’s through a thriving Institutional Giving program. This position cultivates and stewards an impressive portfolio of Foundation, Corporate, and Government funders, while prospecting new funders for general operating, education and community programs, and future capital projects.
The Associate Director of Institutional Giving joins an organization on the rise with an impressive history of support from major arts and culture funders. S/he will assume a well-managed portfolio generating $1.3M annually and work with a part-time consultant who has a half-decade of institutional knowledge of OSL and its funder portfolio.
Orchestra of St. Luke’s has a growth mindset, and the Associate Director of Institutional Giving will achieve growth in all aspects of its institutional giving program. The organization has just completed a significant strategic planning process that includes a five-year plan for revenue growth. An area of significant focus is the development of corporate relationships with organizations at Hudson Yards, which sits just blocks from OSL’s administrative home.
Duties and responsibilities
This role will initially spend at least 40% of the time on developing new opportunities and 60% of the time on managing and soliciting the existing portfolio of institutional funders.

Working conditions
Regular business hours are 9:30am – 5:30pm, hybrid work schedule (on-site Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday, with option to work remotely Monday and Friday), open office, some evenings and weekend events required, local travel to concerts and events.

Compensation
$77, 000 – $85,000 and commensurate with experience. Benefits package is very competitive, including medical, dental, 403(b), employer-paid retirement plan, and vacation, personal, company holiday (11), and sick days.
