Founded in 2019, BWTEotR directly addresses the health and economic disparities embedded within “East of the River” neighborhoods through systems, narrative, and policy change.

    Job Summary

BWTEotR seeks a proactive, detail-oriented Operations Associate to provide essential support to the Executive Director (ED), the Operations Director (OD), and organization-wide initiatives. The Operations Associate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of organizational processes, managing communications, and supporting special projects. This role requires a high level of organization, time management, and adaptability. The Operations Associate will report to the Operations Director and will divide their time across three key areas: Executive Director Support (40%), Operations Director Support (40%), and Organization Communications (20%).

    Key Areas of Responsibility

Direct Support of the Executive Director (40%)

You will work directly with the Executive Director each day to help her optimize her time and energy by curating a schedule that keeps her focused on her top priorities for advancing the organization and its goals. Someone would be most successful in this role if they are a problem-solver and willing to think through solutions.

      • Take notes during meetings, transfer action items to the organization’s project management system, and ensure timely follow-ups.

Direct Support of the Operations Director (40%)

When not working directly with the Executive Director, this role serves as a key support to the organization’s administrative and operational needs as assigned by the Operations Director.

    • Assist with implementing and executing special projects led by the Operations Director, including organization-wide retreats and events.
    • Support cross-departmental initiatives by ensuring effective coordination and tracking progress in the organization’s project management system.
    • Schedule, coordinate, and take notes during meetings, and compile meeting summaries for reference.
    • Monitoring supplies and needs for the physical office space and ensuring that they are replenished as necessary
    • Provide additional support for general organizational operations as needed

    Communications (20%)

    • Co-develop and gather content for newsletters, targeting the general public and implementation partners.
    • First-line recipient of incoming correspondence to the company’s general email account
      • Sorting and filing all emails to maintain a clear and prioritized inbox
    • Organize and maintain volunteer and donor CRM systems
      • Lead gift administration efforts, including preparing thank-you letters and coordinating donor engagement updates.
