    Job Summary

    The New Business Development Manager drives revenue and broadens the organization’s impact through new corporate partnerships and developing and overseeing new revenue streams. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in new business development, sales, and sponsorships, with a proven ability to establish and grow successful partnerships. They are skilled at networking, relationship-building, and representing the organization at industry events and conferences. Comfortable presenting in both virtual and in-person settings, they communicate clearly and professionally, tailoring their approach to meet the needs of diverse Partners. They take a thoughtful, strategic approach to relationship management, consistently following through to build trust, sustain engagement, and contribute to long-term partnership success.

    Essential Functions

    • Identify and explore new potential leads through LinkedIn, industry conferences, networking events, and professional associations.
    • Gather contact information for new lead prospects and initiate outreach through phone calls, emails, or LinkedIn connections.
    • Prepare for meetings with lead prospects by thoroughly understanding their business, industry, and specific needs through gathering relevant information and up-to-date news.
    • Tailor pitch presentation to address the prospect’s unique challenges and highlight valuable solutions. Ensure all relevant decks, impact reports, and learning and development guides are prepared for the meeting.
    • Create open-ended questions to explore the prospect’s needs and prepare responses to address potential objections.
    • Send prompt thank-you emails to lead prospects after meetings, including any requested information or additional resources.
    • Utilize Salesforce to monitor all interactions with leads and partners, ensuring data remains current and accurate. Record all pertinent details from lead meetings in Salesforce to track their status and plan next steps.
    • Leverage Salesforce to schedule reminders for future follow-ups, ensuring consistent communication with lead prospects.
    • Streamline the new partner onboarding process by creating an opportunity in Salesforce with precise product details, securing necessary approvals, and drafting the partnership agreement promptly.
    • Assist in creating sales campaigns targeting past Partners, specific industries, and previously lost opportunities.
    • Assess Partner needs and preferences to recommend and develop new partnership benefits and marketing promotional opportunities.
    • Secure event Partners, as required, for the Out & Equal Workplace Summit, both domestically and internationally.
    • Collaborate closely with internal team members to implement systems and processes in the overall management of the new business development and the partnership pipeline.
    • Attend events, as needed, to promote the Out & Equal mission and support existing sponsors and Partners.
    • Attend national conferences, local networking events, and represent Out & Equal professionally to secure new Partners for our events and programs.
    • Work collaboratively with the Learning and Development, Global Impact, Marketing, and Finance teams to ensure partnership success.
    • Maintain open and accessible communications with the CRGO and the Executive Leadership team.
    • Manage projects and initiatives that facilitate the success of business development for the organization.

    Qualifications (Licenses, Certifications, Education Related Experience)

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced technical degree highly desired. Degree can be substituted for an equivalent amount of experience.
    • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in new business strategy and key account management with an emphasis on sales, conceptual selling, negotiation, and superior customer service required.
    • Proven track record in prior sales or business development.

    Physical Job Requirements
