Outreach & Partnerships Manager (Temporary Role)

UnLocal is seeking a temporary (2 months, ending September 19), dynamic and community-driven Outreach & Partnerships Manager to lead initiatives that amplify our mission and expand our reach. This role will develop and execute creative and innovative outreach strategies, foster and manage partnerships with community stakeholders, and support the creation and dissemination of educational materials related to immigration rights. This person will represent UnLocal at public forums, collaborate on media campaigns, and coordinate and provide training for community-based organizations, groups, and others. Ideal candidates are proactive communicators, data-driven, and have a passion for social justice, relationship-building, and innovative community engagement.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement creative outreach strategies and campaigns—using both traditional and non-traditional tactics—to increase awareness of UnLocal’s mission and programs. Specific goals and milestones will be mutually agreed upon at the outset of the engagement and reviewed regularly.
    • Cultivate, manage, and strengthen partnerships with businesses, educators, social workers, community-based organizations, and individuals to expand UnLocal’s reach and impact.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for outreach and partnership inquiries, managing intake forms and external relationships.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and disseminate effective outreach, educational, and promotional materials across digital, print, and presentation platforms.
    • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of outreach and partnership initiatives, adjusting strategies as needed.
    • Represent UnLocal at community events, conferences, and public forums on a recurring basis.
    • Plan and lead training sessions for community-based organizations and volunteers on legal remedies and immigration resources.
    • Partner with the communications team to create and implement media campaigns that share accurate and accessible immigration information through diverse formats, including art and technology.
    • Update and expand immigration education materials in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Grow and manage relationships with grassroots supporters, community volunteers, and partner allies involved in UnLocal’s community-facing initiatives.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in outreach, community engagement, or advocacy work.
    • 2–3 years of experience developing and implementing outreach strategies, community partnerships, or public education initiatives.
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience engaging diverse communities.
    • Proven ability to build and manage partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders.
    • Comfortable with public speaking and facilitating trainings or presentations in a variety of settings.
    • Experience creating outreach and educational materials across print, digital, and social media platforms.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bilingual or multilingual (e.g., Spanish, French, Creole) strongly preferred.
    • 29 hours per week with a hybrid model between the office, outreach locations, and presentation locations. Travel between the metropolitan area and weekend availability is required, in accordance with program needs and program necessity.
    • Position frequently moves items of up to 10 pounds across the office or into off-site locations.
    • Proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace, Canva, and social media; experience with data tracking/reporting is a plus.
    • Familiarity with immigration issues and a demonstrated commitment to immigrant and LGBTQ+ rights and social justice.

    Compensation & Benefits

    • $30-35 per hour (Depending on Experience)
    • 10 Days of sick leave
    • Commuter Benefits ($20 per month reimbursement)
