    Job Synopsis

    The HR Recruiter will join the MCC U.S. HR Team in carrying out an organization-wide recruitment strategy, leading selection processes to fill MCC vacancies globally, and ensuring smooth onboarding. This position is responsible for translations between English and Spanish for the HR department. The HR Recruiter will also attend recruitment events on behalf of MCC as needed and provide backup support to HR colleagues during peak work times.

    Schedule for this position may include some irregular hours to meet with selection teams and interview candidates across time zones. Location can be at the office in Akron, PA or remote from a U.S. state where MCC is a registered employer.

    Essential:

    • ​​High school diploma​ with ​3-5 years relevant experience​ in in HR, recruitment, or related work. If no relevant experience, higher educational attainment required.
    • 1-3 years of recruitment/selection, benefits administration, onboarding, policy, or related work.
    • Proficiency in Office Suite and electronic communication with technical aptitude.
    • Excellent Spanish and English communication skills, both written and oral.
    • Intercultural Experience and Competencies.
    • Translation experience.
    • Demonstrated relationship skills.
    • Demonstrated abilities in critical evaluation, ethical practices, and attention to details.
    • Ability to keep personnel information in confidence and use discernment in confidential situations.

    Preferred:

    • HR Certification or additional education (bachelors/masters) in HR, business management, organizational development or similar field.
    • Experience with an HRIS or applicant tracking software.

    Key Responsibilities

    Specific Tasks and Duties:

    HR Recruitment, Selection and Placement:

    1. Provide leadership to selection and placement processes for all assigned vacancies. This will include U.S. domestic and international vacancies requiring facilitation in both English and Spanish. Follow MCC Policies/Procedures and HR best practices to attract and hire a diverse and qualified workforce for the organization. Provide high-quality support to candidates by proactively providing information and responding to inquiries promptly with care.
    2. Collaborate closely with hiring managers to create appropriate Job Descriptions and lead selection processes. Facilitate selection team for assigned vacancies. Educate selection team members to navigate HRIS for access to candidate information and about ideal hiring processes.
    3. Provide administrative support for scheduling selection team meetings and interviews with consideration for multiple time zones. Scheduling may require Recruiter to occasionally work irregular hours.
    4. Conduct any required background checking with respective invited candidates.
    5. Onboarding: Support candidates during the period between offer letter acceptance and start date with MCC, educating about MCC, ensuring access in the HRIS, assisting with logistics and preparing candidates for onboarding to MCC. Close relevant vacancies in the HRIS and ensure that respective new Team Member setup in the HRIS is completed.
    6. Create and implement recruitment plans for assigned vacancies. Cultivate and maintain relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders as recruitment ambassadors to ensure broad awareness of available MCC openings.
    7. Collaborate with HR colleagues and other recruiters to implement MCC’s recruitment strategy. Attend Recruitment Network meetings. Work with Recruitment Network to ensure information about MCC’s international and domestic openings are easily accessible to support the overall Recruiting Strategy. As part of supporting this strategy, join committees, focus groups, and special projects as needed.
    8. Attend recruiting events and engagements to represent MCC.
    9. Stay aware of recruitment needs for US, Canada, and International Program. Actively support promotion of MCC openings. Assist with advertising for vacancies or service opportunities as assigned.
    10. Respond to candidate leads who contact MCC for guidance on possible service assignments, ensuring their information is entered and kept current in the HRIS for recruiters to access.
    11. Assist with training MCC staff on new HR processes or features as they are rolled out for implementation.
    12. Provide back up support to HR colleagues, primarily related to Candidate Care subgroup functions but also potential back up to other groups as needed particularly for assigned projects.
    13. Serve as a subject-matter expert on bias awareness in recruitment, selection and other employment decisions and work collaboratively with the US HR Team to improve MCC’s ability to be an inclusive employer and remove barriers that affect staff retention and advancement.

    HR-specific translations:

    1. Translate HR information from English into Spanish, such as policies, best practices, communication pieces, forms, etc., utilizing inclusive and standard language.
    2. Assist with or communicate directly with Spanish speaking Team Members and candidates as needed for HR topics, typically including: recruitment, selection, hiring, benefits, compensation, policy interpretation, worker care, exit info, etc.
    3. Collaborate with HR colleagues to better formulate policy, best practices, communication pieces, etc. based on learning from these interactions to increase the team’s intercultural competencies.

    Other duties as assigned on a temporary basis

    Travel expectations Travel up to 10% primarily to regional recruitment events and network meetings.

    Supervision: No direct supervision responsibilities.

    • Environment Conditions: This position is not regularly exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

    Salary Details

    Base salary: $53,448.51. Starting salary may be adjusted up to $59,387.23 based on previous experience.

    Office in Akron, PA; Also available remotely from U.S. states where MCC is a registered employer; some remote locations may have a geographic differential added to the listed base pay
