Job Summary:
In this role, the Development Strategy Partner (DSP) will support the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Engagement Team across the full range of work ensuring follow-through, prioritization, increased bandwidth, and effective coordination of all engagements and work products. Responsibilities include proactive problem-solving, time programming, project management, and strategic counsel. Additional day-to-day action items include tracking requests, calendar management, agenda planning, and support with planning, logistics, and strategic initiatives.
The DSP should be comfortable juggling multiple tasks and priorities while supporting the Chief Philanthropy Officer and Engagement Team's work. This role requires high oral and written communication skills, a strategic mindset, and follow-through. The Chief Philanthropy Officer will look to the DSP to help them determine their best use of time and how to advance the team's agenda.

Essential Duties:
- Act as Chief Philanthropy Officer’s thought partner and problem-solver on a wide range of topics to support their leadership.
- Help manage the Chief Philanthropy Officer’s calendar and track action items, maximizing effectiveness by identifying, balancing, and driving priorities and strategically aligning time against these priorities.
- Administer the Chief Philanthropy Officer’s contacts, network relationships, and touchpoints in the Customer Management Relationship (CRM) system and support management of the Chief Philanthropy Officer’s network.
- Maintain key document repositories, such as SharePoint.
- Project manage workflow with Engagement Team Project Coordinators to help prioritize and execute the myriad project needs across all engagement verticals.
- Review, design, and execute solutions and improvements to cross-team and cross-org challenges; regularly give forward-thinking input, recommendations, and constructive feedback to push the team forward.
- Provide meeting support and distribute materials in advance of meetings on the Chief Philanthropy Officer’s daily calendar.
- Draft, edit, and finalize briefs, documents, and other materials, as requested.
- Participate in the development and implementation of team policies and processes.
- Manage the Engagement Cabinet and deliverables from Engagement Leadership Team (ELT).
Advance the work of the Engagement Leadership Team broadly, helping ensure the team has systems that enable it to operate effectively, strategically, and sustainably.
- Serve as a key partner to the Engagement Leadership Team to help develop, maintain, and track progress on key initiatives, such as teamwide systems, operating model improvements, and policy changes.
- Serve as a key person to share information, increasing access, and encouraging joint problem-solving.
- Facilitate and lead key cross-team meetings and initiatives.
- Reinforce the development of a team culture that strengthens impact, and fosters belonging, assuring the team has what it needs to effectively manage, advance, and deliver their work.
- Lead planning for meetings and off-site team-building events.
- Taking charge of meetings or trips as needed; assist with prep, provide support, and/or manage follow-ups for the Chief Philanthropy Officer.
- Manage special projects and other duties as assigned.
Advance the work of the Board Engagement Committee, helping ensure the committee has systems that enable it to operate effectively, strategically, and sustainably.
- Serve as key partner and liaison to the Engagement Committee to help develop, maintain, and track fundraising goals and engagement progress
- Collaborate on communication strategy and provide key updates and information to the Engagement Committee as needed.
- Manage the coordination of meetings and deliverables in partnership with the Engagement Committee Chairs.
- Disseminate important information and key points to the appropriate Engagement Team members to ensure timely follow-up and follow-through happens on behalf of the Engagement Committee members.

- Demonstrated experience in maintaining confidentiality and privacy during sensitive situations using discretion. Uphold and ensure the security and confidentiality of all information.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks with constant interruptions, meet changing deadlines and requests and strategically think ahead to anticipate and solve problems.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; able to gather, aggregate, and disseminate information clearly and concisely.
- Self-starter displaying a positive "can do" attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
- Ability to respond effectively under pressure, maintaining a positive and cooperative attitude in stressful and time-sensitive scenarios.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in related fields such as Fundraising, Business, Marketing, or Communications.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of combined experience in an administrative and executive support role with a heavy emphasis on strategic thought partnership and strategic time management
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a non-profit environment.
