Development Associate

Temple Emanuel of South Hills is a 500+ family synagogue in Mt. Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Temple’s vision of Living, Learning, Leading Judaism is supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Our Development Associate is responsible for supporting Temple Emanuel’s philanthropic culture through donor outreach, stewardship, personal connection, and program execution. This role works closely with the Finance & Relationship Director and other senior staff to cultivate giving relationships, follow up on financial commitments, and expand Temple’s development capacity. The portfolio of this position will naturally change and grow to match the skills and interests of the right candidate.

Benefits over and above salary include:


1. 10% of your salary on an annual basis contributed by Temple to the Reform Pension Board as retirement savings.
2. The option to elect and receive 100% personal medical coverage through the Temple provided plan. You would be responsible for the full cost of health insurance coverage for any spouse and/or dependents.
3. Long Term Disability and Life Insurance coverage in the same manner as provided to Temple’s full-time employees.
