Position Summary

The High School Principal serves as the instructional and operational leader of Grades 6–12, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning, student achievement, faculty development, school culture, and operational excellence.

The successful candidate will inspire students, empower teachers, engage parents, and collaborate closely with the Director General and Senior Leadership Team to implement the school's strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities

Instructional Leadership

• Lead curriculum implementation and instructional excellence
• Improve student achievement through data-informed decision making
• Observe, coach, and mentor teachers
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Support curriculum alignment and assessment practices

School Culture

• Build a positive, respectful, and high-expectation learning environment
• Promote student leadership and character education
• Strengthen student discipline through restorative and proactive practices
• Ensure student safety and well-being

Staff Leadership

• Recruit, mentor, supervise, and evaluate faculty
• Lead professional development initiatives
• Develop future teacher leaders
• Promote collaboration across departments

Operations

• Oversee daily school operations
• Manage schedules and school events
• Ensure compliance with accreditation standards
• Monitor policies and procedures

Parent & Community Engagement

• Build strong relationships with families
• Represent the school professionally
• Strengthen partnerships with local and international organizations

Qualifications

Required:

• Master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership, Administration, Curriculum, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of successful school leadership experience
• Experience supervising and evaluating teachers
• Strong instructional leadership skills
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• High proficiency in English

Preferred:

• Experience in bilingual or international schools
• Knowledge of IB, Cambridge, American, British, or international curricula
• French language proficiency
• Experience with accreditation processes
• Experience leading school improvement initiatives
