    The Staten Island YMCA Counseling Service is seeking a Senior Program Director. The Senior Program Director will ensure that the administrative, clinical, day-to-day, and overall operations of the Branch’s programs and services are being fully executed through the utilization of best practices while ensuring that the agency remains in strong fiscal health and contract compliance. The Senior Program Director will be responsible for overseeing clinical and leadership staff to achieve the goals of the position. Additionally, the Senior Program Director will collaborate with the Executive Director on strategic projects to enhance the overall operations and clinical functions of the agency.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the overall clinical, programmatic, fiscal, and administrative operations of the Branch, including program development/coordination, quality assurance, strategic planning, service delivery, etc.
    • Recruit, train, retain, and supervise volunteers, interns, and staff, including, but not limited to, completion of staff mid-year/annual performance meetings, staff/intern onboarding/development, and providing administrative/clinical/programmatic supervision.
    • Responsible for the oversight and implementation of program services as outlined in our funding and regulatory contracts, including, but not limited to, program development and execution, and providing funding (state, national, local) sources and mandating/referring agencies with timely, accurate, and comprehensive reports and documentation.
    • In conjunction with the senior team, responsible for clinical and administrative operations, policies, procedures development, training, and implementation.
    • Maintain and oversee comprehensive, timely, accurate, and appropriate client record-keeping and session/billing reports.
    • When needed, deliver direct services and maintain a caseload with accurate, comprehensive, and timely record-keeping.
    • Researches, submits, and executes approved new funding opportunities. Ensures provision of comprehensive and quality clinical services and develops/implements new program initiatives/best practices/curricula, including grants.
    • Participate in Association Cabinets, citywide YMCA meetings, Island-wide Y groups, community/statewide coalitions, and other groups that deal in the program services area that the agency delivers.
    • Develops, coordinates, and facilitates educational workshops, seminars, and training sessions for staff, community, and clients.
    • In conjunction with the Executive Director, ensure that the Policy and Procedure Manual is kept up to date, including all procedural/regulatory changes.
    • Perform outreach/presentations, attend networking meetings, participate in Coalitions representing the agency, and participate in marketing efforts, including assisting in the development/implementation of marketing plans.
    • Develop and enhance the program census and retention.
    • In conjunction with the Executive Director and maintenance staff, ensures that the buildings meet requirements for contracts and program services.
    • Develops and maintains program tracking reports, including but not limited to census, quality measures, and clinician performance.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

    Desired Skills & Experience:

    • LMSW and LMHC required. LCSW and LHMC-D preferred.
    • Two (2) to four (4) years of supervisory experience in the addiction treatment and/or mental health field. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of staff supervision, program planning and development, and quality assurance.
    • Knowledge of treatment and prevention best practices.
    • Knowledge of OASAS regulations and guidelines, fiscal management, financial development, and fundraising preferred.
    • SIFI certification preferred.
