    The Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia is hiring a Project Manager for Seeds of Hope Storytelling, a five-year, grant-funded storytelling program designed to capture and share stories of vibrant faith in West Virginia and among our Appalachian neighbors.

    In collaboration with the Canon for Communications & Congregational Development and Seeds of Hope Creative Director, the Project Manager will support the implementation of grant activities through day-to-day program administration.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    The program manager will:

      Collaborate with diocesan leadership and staff for implementation of all grant programming and vision

        Serve as the main point on contact for story submissions, venue contacts, and other event logistics

          Assist in the development of relationships with storytellers and artists

            Support the production of short films, podcasts, and print and digital media, including oversight of contractor invoicing, scheduling, and more

              Assist in budget management and grant reporting

                Ensure production of program “swag”

                  Participate in the development and maintenance of Seeds of Hope website(s) and social media accounts

                    In partnership with the Creative Director, plan and execute storytelling workshops and live storytelling events around West Virginia

                      Oversee all logistics for an annual, multi-day storytelling festival

                        Oversee a young adult longitudinal study throughout the life of the grant

                          Represent Seeds of Hope at promotional events, including diocesan events and churchwide events, as well as other promotional festivals

                          Key Skills & Qualifications

                          The ideal candidate will have an appreciation for Appalachia and its people and be committed to sharing our stories with dignity and respect.

                          The ideal candidate should have an educational background and/or professional experience in communications, project management, administration, or another relevant field. The candidate must also possess outstanding organizational skills, strong attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a spirit of collaboration, and the ability to multitask.

                          A familiarity with The Episcopal Church, or a willingness to learn, is essential.

                          Work Environment

                          Seeds of Hope is based out of the offices of The Episcopal Diocese of West Virginia in Charleston, West Virginia, but remote work from within West Virginia is negotiable.

                          The Project Manager will be expected to travel throughout West Virginia for storytelling workshops and events, promotional events, and cultivation of relationships. Occasional travel outside of West Virginia will be required.

                          Reporting Structure: Day to day reporting to the Creative Director with ultimate oversight to the Canon for Communications & Congregational Development

                          Employment Classification: Full-time, Exempt

                          Salary: $68,000+
