Summary
This position is primarily responsible for managing assigned REAL Leadership programs, managing assigned educational program(s) and resources and implementing initiatives as directed by the Sorority’s strategic plan.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Manage Sorority educational programs and strategic initiatives related to new and initiated member education, officer education, advisor and volunteer training, leadership development, e-learning and event programming for collegiate and alumnae members as assigned.
- Work with subject-matter experts to design and develop relevant and accurate instructional programs and resource materials.
- Evaluate the impact and effectiveness of education and leadership programs and services and curriculum, with respect to the Sorority’s mission, vision and strategic plan. Recommend changes as appropriate.
- Manage material updates and periodic review of assigned programs.
- Attend Sorority events (virtual and in person) to support program delivery.
- Support the director of education in achieving the Sorority’s educational priorities related to belonging, equity, diversity and inclusion (BEDI).
- With Marketing and Communication staff, develop social media and email campaigns for member education and leadership development initiatives as well as update relevant websites.
- Assist with special projects.
- Supervise volunteers as assigned based on the needs of the Sorority.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree required, master’s degree in instructional design, higher education, student affairs or related field preferred; two to four years relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet software (Excel); word processing software (Word); electronic mail software (Outlook); e-learning authoring software (Articulate 360) and learning management systems; presentation software (PowerPoint); project management software.
Other Skills, Abilities and Qualifications
- Some night and weekend work commitments. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to include travel or participation in evening and/or weekend conference calls or in-person meetings as directed.
- Working knowledge of principles of education and instructional design.
- Working knowledge of state-of-the-art technology used in training and education.
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong writing skills, particularly in instructional and technical writing as utilized within the context of educational program development and delivery.
- Strong analytical thinking and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, outgoing, customer-service oriented manner.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a project/team in a highly collaborative environment.
- Ability to prioritize projects and adjust to changing prioritization.
- Detail-oriented with “big picture” vision, and effective project management practices under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
- Ability to travel as requested.
- Gamma Phi Beta member or fraternity/sorority membership preferred.

Location
This position is eligible for remote employment.
Benefits and Compensation
Compensation is commensurate with experience, education and location. The hiring range for this role is $50,000 to $56,000 annually. Gamma Phi Beta offers a full benefits package with an excellent paid time off package that includes 12 days of vacation plus sick time, personal days, holidays and two weeks of additional paid time off over the office’s winter break. Benefits include health, life, disability, vision and dental insurance coverage and participation in Gamma Phi Beta’s 401(k) plan after a year of eligible service.
