    Job Summary

    The Volunteer Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a robust volunteer program that supports PPL’s mission. This role will recruit, train, and retain volunteers, build community partnerships, and ensure meaningful engagement opportunities that align with organizational goals.

    Key Responsibilities

    Program Development & Management

    • Design and implement volunteer programs that support PPL’s housing, employment, and education initiatives.
    • Develop systems for tracking volunteer hours, impact, and feedback.
    • Evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements

    Volunteer Recruitment & Engagement

    • Recruit diverse volunteers through outreach, events, and partnerships.
    • Conduct orientations and training sessions to prepare volunteers for their roles.
    • Foster a positive volunteer experience through recognition and ongoing communication

    Community & Partner Relations

    • Cultivate relationships with local businesses, schools, and community groups to expand volunteer opportunities.
    • Represent PPL at community events and volunteer fairs

    Administrative & Compliance

    • Maintain accurate volunteer records and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
    • Prepare reports on volunteer impact for internal and external stakeholders

    Qualifications

    • At least 2 years of experience in volunteer coordination, community outreach, or nonprofit engagement roles.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Experience using a volunteer or CRM database
    • Proficiency in volunteer management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle.
    • Availability to work some evenings and weekends.
    • Ensure the volunteer program is inclusive and accessible to all individuals, reflecting PPL’s commitment to equity, belonging, and community representation.

    Hours: Full time, Non-exempt

    Salary: $50,000-$64,000 / annually
