POSITION TITLE: Chief Operating Officer
REPORTS TO: President & CEO
STATUS: Full-time, regular
LOCATION: Based in Northern Virginia with oversight of multiple locations
SALARY: $150,000-160,000
Summary: Serves as a senior executive reporting to the President & CEO with management responsibilities over multiple areas, including, but not limited to, overall smooth operations of the organization and its six facilities, strategic planning, support the senior leadership team, project management, facilities, IT, legal affairs/contracts, food service and maintenance. The person in this role develops strategies and internal process controls to ensure the proper management and oversight of expenditures, mitigate risk, and promote the efficient use of resources, timely project completion and quality product delivery that exceeds donor and board expectations.

About Central Union Mission:
Central Union Mission, Washington, DC's oldest private social service agency and a faith-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit, offers a comprehensive array of services to men, women and children in need from DC, Virginia and Maryland. Beyond offering over 60,000 bed-nights annually at its emergency shelter, the Mission’s shelter provides a full suite of transformational programs. Our Comprehensive Family Resource Center provides food and clothing to approximately 5,000 individuals monthly, as well as transformative wrap-around services.
