    Location: Remote (Must be able to make phone calls to New Jersey offices)

    Hours: Approximately 5 hours per week

    Compensation: $20/hour

    Overview:

    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant to support ongoing outreach efforts to New Jersey state legislators, corporate donors, and to handle administrative duties such as calendar invites, email reminders, etc. This role involves consistent follow-up communication (emails and phone calls) to help maintain relationships and ensure timely responses from legislative, corporate, and Board offices.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct daily email follow-ups with New Jersey state legislators and their staff
    • Track outreach efforts and maintain organized communication records
    • Make phone calls to offices to follow up on emails or requests
    • Provide brief updates on responses, progress, and any issues encountered
    • Assist with drafting or refining follow-up messages as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Comfortable making professional phone calls to government and corporate offices
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
    • Familiarity with New Jersey government or legislative processes is a plus
    • Must be able to make phone calls within New Jersey (or have access to a reliable calling method)

    Preferred Experience:

    • Prior experience in administrative support, outreach, advocacy, or public affairs
    • Experience using email tracking or CRM tools

    Additional Information:

    • This is a part-time, flexible role averaging 5 hours per week
    • Work can be completed remotely, with occasional coordination as needed
