    Descrição

    This is a hands-on Director role within a small nonprofit organization, requiring both program oversight and direct involvement in implementation, coordination, and relationship management. The Director of Programs works closely with the Executive Director, Operations, and Development to support program execution, outreach, and reporting. This position ensures programs operate efficiently, meet participant needs, and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with the organization's mission.

    This opportunity is ideal for a high-performing Program Manager ready to step into a Director-level position and grow within a mission-driven organization.

    Critical Functions

    Program Management & Operations

    • Oversee day-to-day execution of programs, including intake, eligibility, service delivery, and follow-up
    • Refine and maintain program policies, procedures, and workflows; identify operational risks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and participant experience
    • Assess and make any necessary improvements to intake process -- including evaluating, selecting, and implementing a long-term technology platform to replace current manual and stopgap workflows
    • Develop and maintain documented SOPs for all core program functions, written for transferability
    • Identify gaps in access or awareness and communicate insights to leadership
    • Support the development and management of program reports and budgets for leadership and funders
    • Track, analyze, and report on program outputs and outcomes

    Community Partner Program (CPP) Administration

    • Transition full CPP ownership from the Director of Operations upon hire, including knowledge transfer and process documentation
    • Own the full CPP cycle from end to end -- annual grant funding outreach, partner agreement renewals, report collection and tracking, and payment processing
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Community Partners
    • Manage partner relationships proactively, ensuring agreements are current, reports are received on time, and partners have what they need to participate effectively

    Community Outreach & Partnerships

    • Build and maintain a targeted referral network of healthcare providers, imaging centers, social service agencies, and community organizations serving underserved populations
    • Lead outreach meetings and presentations with referral partners
    • Support outreach efforts to increase awareness and utilization of resources
    • Serve as a point of contact for complex or high-priority referrals

    Grants & Reporting

    • Support grant applications by providing program data, narratives, and insights
    • Track and report program outcomes for funders and internal use
    • Maintain accurate and organized program documentation

    Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Supervise the Program Coordinator; provide day-to-day guidance, escalation support, quality oversight, and professional development
    • Partner with the Director of Operations on administrative and operational needs
    • Collaborate with Development on fundraising support including data, impact stories, and reporting
    • Collaborate with marketing partners to develop and maintain referral tools such as program one-pagers, eligibility summaries, and intake materials

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in public health, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program coordination or management within nonprofit, healthcare, or human services on a national level
    • Experience with grant-making and grant-distribution program model
    • Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience
    • Experience in medical advocacy, patient navigation, or public health
    • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement technology or process improvements in a program setting
    • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills working in a remote team environment
    • Must work EST hours 9am-5pm

    Preferred:

    • Spanish proficiency
    • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
    • Familiarity with referral-based or patient/client service models
    • Experience with community outreach and referral network development
    • Familiarity with grant-funded programs and reporting requirements

    Salary

    $70,000-$80,000 annually; exact compensation is based on a range of factors including the labor market, job level, internal equity, and budget. Offers will take into consideration the candidate's skills, education, experience, geographic location, and other necessary credentials.
