    Descrição

    The Loss and Damage Collaboration (L&DC) is looking for a Fundraising Lead to lead our resource mobilisation strategy and fundraising efforts. The role will focus on building and sustaining strong relationships with funders, expanding and managing a robust pipeline of prospective funders and developing targeted proposals to secure financial resources to enable us to achieve our ambitious mission.

    The successful candidate will work closely with the global lead, communications, and coordination teams to develop compelling concept notes and narratives on why Loss and Damage finance is critical, organise meetings, curate spaces to bring funders together for technical briefings, and lead the development of high-quality funding proposals and applications.

    Key Responsibilities

    • ⁠ ⁠Lead L&DC’s overall fundraising and resource mobilisation efforts.
    • ⁠ ⁠Develop, maintain and expand a prospect list of potential funders, including foundations, philanthropic institutions, bilateral and multilateral donors and other aligned funding partners.
    • ⁠ ⁠Provide strategic advice to leadership on funding trends, risks and opportunities in the Loss and Damage and climate finance space.
    • ⁠ ⁠Lead the development of funding proposals, concept notes, and grant applications
    • ⁠ ⁠Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective funders.
    • ⁠ Liaise with the communications team to craft targeted messaging and materials for funders.
    • ⁠ ⁠Collaborate with other members of the team to organise briefings, convenings, and engagement moments for funders.

    Qualifications:

    • ⁠ ⁠Minimum of 10 years’ relevant professional experience in fundraising, resource mobilisation and/or development.
    • ⁠ ⁠Proven experience securing funding for non-profit organisations.
    • ⁠ ⁠Demonstrated experience leading proposal development and managing complex funding applications.
    • ⁠ ⁠Experience working in climate, development, human rights or social justice contexts is strongly preferred.:
    • ⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of climate finance landscape.
    • ⁠Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g. Communications, International Development, Public Policy, Business or related discipline).

    • ⁠ ⁠Collaborative and values-driven.
    • ⁠ ⁠Comfortable working across cultures, time zones, and global contexts.
