Looking for a challenge while giving back to society during this time of stress to most Americans? The Social Work Administrator shall do hands-on direct service with clients while mastering multiple complex programs and rules of human services. The Administrator will be simultaneously responsible for government and funder compliance with standards, rules, reports, billings, grant renewals, and proposals, etc.
The Administrator role requires deep understanding of and compassion for Asian and other minority cultures. The role requires patience/ empathy with clients whose education, English, and knowledge of American culture and bureaucracy is limited. A high level of: bureaucratic competency; excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills; substantial management experience; resourcefulness; compassion for people in need; ability to self-start; multitasking; ability to work as a team and ability to learn and to digest and implement funders’ rules and requirements, as well as community service orientation are musts. Service to others must be your primary, central life goal and reward.
Masters in social work (MSW) or related behavioral-social sciences in both BA and MA. Multilingual proficiency and cross-cultural life experience are pluses.
Compensation commensurate with academic background, work experience, professional exempt or hourly status, etc. ($55-$60 K). Paid holidays, vacation/personal/sick days, bonus, Chicago historic landmark work site. Free parking, conveniently accessible by CTA.
