Pet Partners is a national non-profit leader that supports thousands of therapy animal teams who are specially trained to lovingly share the healing power of pets with people in need. We are currently seeking a talented Digital Designer to create visual content across digital, social, email, web, video, and print channels to capture attention, spark interest, and drive action as part of the in-house marketing and communications team at Pet Partners and the Association of Animal-Assisted Intervention Professionals (AAAIP). We are looking for a collaborative, detail-oriented designer with strong digital instincts, comfort working across multiple brands, and a strong passion animals. The ideal candidate brings campaign concepts to life through polished, brand-aligned creative; supports both static and motion-based design needs; and helps maintain organized, accessible design assets and templates across shared platforms. This Digital Designer will serve as an energetic, collaborative, and effective team player both within the department and across Pet Partners and AAAIP, exemplifying our core values of being Accountable, Agile, Determined, Positive, and Solution-Focused.
Role Core Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to design for omnichannel marketing activations (paid social media, organic social media, website, email, video, and print) to support mission, recruitment, engagement, and fundraising goals for Pet Partners and AAAIP.
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, including layout, typography, hierarchy, color, accessibility, motion, and mobile-first design.
- Ability to translate creative briefs, campaign goals, and brand standards into polished visual executions across static, motion, and digital formats.
- Demonstrated ability to use creative performance insights to recommend design improvements, test new approaches, and optimize future campaign assets.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, communicate creative rationale, receive and apply feedback, and manage design priorities in a remote, multi-brand environment.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain design systems, templates, asset libraries, and project workflows using shared creative and project management tools, including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Monday.com.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design and produce brand-aligned creative assets for digital, social, email, web, paid media, video, print, and campaign needs across Pet Partners and AAAIP.
- Create static, animated, and short-form video assets for channels such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Reels, Stories, email, digital advertising, and website use.
- Design web and landing page assets with attention to visual hierarchy, accessibility, mobile-first layouts, and clear handoff for development.
- Translate creative briefs, campaign goals, and brand standards into polished visual concepts and final deliverables.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing Manager and Chief Marketing Officer on campaign creative, visual direction, and design execution.
- Present design concepts for review, communicate creative rationale, and incorporate feedback accurately and efficiently.
- Lead assigned design projects from intake through completion, including managing timelines, priorities, revisions, approvals, and final file delivery.
- Maintain consistency across Pet Partners and AAAIP brand systems, including logos, colors, typography, templates, photography, graphics, and other visual standards.
- Maintain and organize Canva templates, brand kits, shared folders, reusable assets, and design files to support efficient campaign execution.
- Support production needs, including image resizing, formatting, color correction, light video editing, copy updates within designed assets, print preparation, and file exports.
- Source, organize, and prepare photography, video, and visual assets from staff, volunteers, partners, vendors, and approved stock sources while following brand and usage guidelines.
- Maintain photo, video, branding, and campaign asset libraries, ensuring files are organized, accessible, properly labeled, and aligned with usage rights and release requirements.
- Support maintenance of brand and trademark documentation in partnership with the Integrated Marketing Manager.
- Coordinate with creative, print, promotional, and retail merchandise vendors on assigned projects, including mockups, proofs, product assets, timelines, and brand alignment.
- Support branded merchandise initiatives by developing creative assets, reviewing product designs, and ensuring alignment with seasonal, fundraising, event-based, and organizational campaigns.
- Use Monday.com to manage assigned work, track deadlines, communicate progress, and maintain visibility across active design projects.
- Review creative performance insights when available and recommend design adjustments to improve engagement, clarity, conversion, or campaign effectiveness.
- Identify opportunities to improve design templates, production processes, asset organization, workflows, and creative efficiencies.
- Work independently on assigned design projects and seek guidance on complex, high-visibility, or strategically sensitive initiatives as needed.
- Contribute to team brainstorming, campaign planning, and creative problem-solving in a remote, multi-brand environment.

- Creative thinker with a passion for great design and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, including layout, hierarchy, color, typography, accessibility, and motion
- Working knowledge of UX/UI and web design principles, including contrast, spacing, accessibility, and mobile-first design, with the ability to design web and landing page assets that translate cleanly to development
- Proficient in Canva, including brand kits, templates, shared folders, resizing, exporting, asset organization, and collaborative review
- Experience working with established brand systems and style guides
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with comfort receiving and applying constructive feedback
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple design projects, deadlines, revisions, and approvals in a remote work environment.
- Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for quality, consistency, and brand alignment
- Proactive mindset with a desire to improve processes and contribute to team growth
- Experience supporting both B2C and B2B marketing efforts is a plus
- Strong portfolio demonstrating digital campaign assets, social media creative, short-form video or motion graphics, web/email assets, and print design.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in graphic design, visual communications, digital media, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of professional graphic design experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop; Premiere Pro or After Effects, preferred.)
- Figma experience, preferred
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and web design standards
- Experience with short-form video editing for social platforms (Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts) preferred
- Experience using Monday.com or a similar project management platform preferred.
