Part-time reporter/editor

La Red de Pueblos, a people-powered non profit organization working to advance full respect and recognition for immigrants from indigenous and rural communities of origin, is looking for a community-based journalist to serve as a part-time NY editorial coordinator for Molino Informativo, our media project dedicated to capture and amplify the realities and experiences of migrant communities, particularly indigenous and rural, through the production of articles and educational initiatives that provide them with tools to tell their own stories.

Activities include:

• ⁠plan and produce multimedia content
• ⁠⁠⁠coordinate with community reporters and volunteers
• ⁠⁠⁠organize educational and promotional activities
• ⁠⁠website management

Requirements:

• ⁠Writing skills in Spanish and English
• ⁠Experience in journalism
• ⁠Experience with website management, editing and graphic design software
• ⁠Experience coordinating teams and meeting deadlines

Salary ranges between $20.00 and $40.00 an hour depending on experience and funding.
