    Role Overview

    The national Career and Alumni Manager leads TKH’s national alumni engagement, career mobility, and job placement strategy across all TKH regions. This role ensures that TKH alumni, across all programs, receive high-quality, data-driven support that drives career services, employment, retention, wage progression, and long-term economic mobility.

    The Alumni Manager collaborates closely with regional program teams, employer partnerships, curriculum, and data teams to meet national placement KPIs, strengthen regional pipelines, and ensure all TKH alumni outcomes contribute to organizational learning and continuous improvement. This role is responsible for building a unified, tech-enabled alumni strategy that advances TKH’s brand, employer network, and outcomes nationally.

    By December 2026, the Career and Alumni Manager will:

    • Strengthen the TKH Alumni Program to support long-term career success and economic mobility.
    • Achieve national Alumni KPIs for engagement, employment, advancement, and retention in TKH career services.
    • Demonstrate wage progression and long-term employment outcomes through standardized alumni mobility tracking.
    • Ensure all regions meet placement and advancement targets across Innovation Fellowship, Youth Fellowship, TKH Training Solutions, and other grant-funded initiatives.
    • Activate alumni as ambassadors, mentors, individual donors, and industry connectors, contributing to employer partnerships and community leadership pipelines.

    Activities include, but are not limited to the following:

    National Strategy & Alumni Outcomes (40%)

    • Lead the development and execution of a unified national alumni strategy aligned with TKH’s 2026 organizational goals.
    • Oversee alumni outcomes across all TKH regions, ensuring achievement of KPIs for:
      • 80% positive outcome, including continued education, credential progression, work-based learning, etc.
      • 70% Employment and re-employment
      • Wage growth and career advancement
      • Engagement in TKH career alumni services
    • Use alumni outcome data to inform program improvement, curriculum design, employer engagement, and TKH’s thought leadership agenda.
    • Partner with Programs and External Affairs teams and leadership to define and communicate transformative alumni outcomes aligned with TKH’s measurement framework and support the conversion of Alumni into volunteers and individual donors.

    Career Development (40%)

    • Build and manage all career development curricula for learners across fellowship programs to ensure graduates are competitive in the job market.
    • Support regional career specialists with career development curriculum instructional best practices and career coaching resources.
    • Collaborate with External Affairs to integrate industry networking and partner volunteer engagement opportunities across programs to build learner social capital.
    • Collaborate with the Teaching & Learning team to ensure consistent instruction across technical and career instruction for all programs.
    • Oversee regional Industry Market research that informs national curriculum development and program iteration.
    • Support career development content creation for Training Solutions as needed

    Employer Partnerships (10%)

    • Partner with the regional Managing Directors and the External Affairs team to deepen and grow employer relationships that create pathways for alumni hiring, career mobility, and re-engagement.
    • Identify alumni talent pools that align with employer demand and collaborate on talent matching strategies.
    • Support implementation of TKH’s Pathways AI tools to personalize alumni job matching and retention interventions.
    • Lead alumni-facing career readiness programming, including events, mentorship initiatives, and alumni ambassador opportunities.

    Data, Reporting and Systems (20%)

    • Ensure accurate, timely data collection in Salesforce and other systems across all regions.
    • Lead the adoption and optimization of TKH’s job search and preparation platform, serving as the internal expert and champion, and assess new technologies/platforms that could strengthen alumni employment outcomes.
    • Produce national insights on alumni trajectories to support grants, fundraising, employer partnerships, and executive decision-making.
    • Collaborate with the External Affairs, Programs, and Operations teams to strengthen TKH’s alumni KPIs, dashboards, and evaluation tools.

    Qualifications

    Experience

    • 4–6+ years of experience in workforce development, career services, employer engagement, or alumni programs.
    • Experience with developing career development curriculum preferred
    • Experience managing or supporting multi-site program delivery strongly preferred.
    • Demonstrated success in meeting job placement or mobility outcomes for diverse populations.
    • Strong understanding of tech industry roles, employer expectations, and workforce trends.
    • Experience using CRM or case management systems (Salesforce preferred).
    • Excellent coaching, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Commitment to racial equity, economic mobility, and TKH’s mission.

    Skills and Approach to Work

    • Strong computer proficiency, including mastery of Google Workspace and the ability to learn new digital tools quickly.
    • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM/case management systems, with the ability to maintain accurate records and leverage data for decision-making.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse audiences.
    • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong work ethic and commitment to producing high-quality, detail-oriented work.
    • Comfort working in dynamic, evolving environments with the ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to change.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret data to inform decisions and improve outcomes.

    • $70,000-78,000 per year (New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary closer to the start of the promoted compensation range, depending on qualifications, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the role)

    Hybrid Work at TKH

    All staff are expected to come into a TKH office or the field (community and industry events, including conferences or travel for work) 1-2 days per week. Please note that there are some roles that may require being on-site more, based on the job responsibilities.
