NJP secures justice for people in or near poverty through high quality legal advocacy that promotes the long-term well-being of low-income individuals, families and communities through legal representation, community partnerships, education and other advocacy.
NJP’s Native American Unit (NAU) provides specialized civil legal services to Native Americans in tribal communities and urban Native American and Alaska Native populations throughout Washington state. The NAU seeks a full-time, experienced legal assistant to support our dynamic office and attorneys representing low-income Native American clients on a wide range of civil legal issues.
Salary is based upon years of experience, with a hiring range of $59,600 to $96,166. This is a non-exempt position. NJP also offers compensation for those who are regularly asked to use a language other than English in their work.
