    Position Title: Learning Program Manager

    Location: Remote

    FLSA Classification: Full-time, Non-Exempt

    Position Reports to: Director of Learning

    Position Summary

    By applying exemplary management skills, this position plays a key role in Nonprofit Association of Washington’s (NAWA) learning program implementation, development of resources and curricula, and relationship management essential for program delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Manage Learning Programming
    • Ensure learning opportunities align with NAWA strategy and effective adult learning practices.
    • Based on need, serve as host, moderator, and/or facilitator of learning events, webinars, and trainings including in-person events.
    • Maintain overarching learning program records including a schedule of all events across the organization, attendance, evaluation, and financial reporting.
    • In partnership with the Director of Learning, create and manage revenue-generating courses with other nonprofit state associations and partner trainers.
    • Oversee implementation of an evaluation system to ensure that all events are evaluated for effectiveness and continuous improvement.
    • Create and manage contracts related to learning program implementation.
    • In partnership with Director of Learning and Director of Development, assist as requested in grant and contract proposal development and management of awarded grants/contracts.
    • Work with Learning Team and other staff members to ensure learning milestones are met and necessary data is collected for reporting purposes.
    • Support annual Washington State Nonprofit Conference, including serving as the lead of specific elements as assigned.
    1. Resource and Curriculum Development
    • In partnership with Director of Learning, refresh current materials and develop new learning curriculum to maintain relevance, accuracy, and effectiveness.
    • Serve as project manager for development of new learning offerings and resources to meet emerging needs.
    • Work with Systems and Data Specialist to support effective delivery of on-demand materials through NAWA’s Learning Library and learning management system
    1. Communications and Relationship Management
    • Manage email-based program communications, and work in coordination with Marketing Specialist for social media based communications.
    • Manage key learning partnerships and work with Director of Learning to develop new partnerships to enhance NAWA’s offerings.
    • Oversee general Learning email inbox by responding to inquiries and redirecting to other NAWA staff as appropriate.
    • Provide high quality customer service for learning participants, trainers, partners, and funders.
    1. Contribute to a Strong Organization
    • Contribute to the visibility of the organization by representing NAWA at events.
    • Bring ideas from events, meetings, etc. back to the organization to contribute to our ongoing effort to understand and support nonprofits in Washington.
    • Work on special projects and participate in key events such as the annual conference.
    • Promote NAWA membership.
    • Support NAWA’s advocacy work.

    • Proficiency in Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and experience with CRM databases, email engagement platforms, event management systems, and project management software. We currently use Salesforce, MailChimp, and Asana – equivalent transferrable skills from other systems are welcome.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects and priorities effectively and professionally.
    • Ability to do some travel within Washington State.
    • Located in Washington.

    Additional Information

    Location: This is primarily a remote position

    Some travel required, primarily within Washington State

    FLSA Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt

    Starting salary range: $75,000-$78,000

    Supervisor: Director of Learning

    • Starting Benefits: Three weeks annual vacation leave, 12 days of sick time, and 12 paid holidays per year, plus paid office closures from Dec 26th to Dec 31st and the week of July 4th. $860/month toward a cafeteria plan of health coverage including medical, dental, and vision insurance as well as various long & short-term disability and other options. $1,200 contributed annually to a retirement plan. $50/month each ($100 total) reimbursement for use of personal cell phone and internet for work purposes. In 2026 NAWA is experimenting with a four-day work week during the summer (June 1stAugust 31), with the office closed on Fridays. If this is successful it will become a permanent policy going forward.
